If you could be born 100 years from now rather than when you were really born would you?

I wouldn't want to go through the great depression.Â

Edit: Lol I totally read this thread wrong... well I guess it still applies.Â
I' d really like to see the world in 100 years. In fact it saddens me that I' m going to miss all the major discoveries and leaps of mankind that are not going to take place during my lifetime. Though, my life so far has made me who I am so if I can keep my memories and self, then hell yeah.
Maybe... it depends on what's happening 100 years from now. Is the whole world a nuclear waste land? With mutants running around and bottle caps for money?harry_james_potNice Fallout reference And to answer the question, yes, I would like to be born 100 years from now so long as the world isn't crappier than it is now.
... and I read this thread wrong. :P
The world will be a little more futuristic. I expect hover cares, robots, longer life expectancy, and people enjoying the classics of Justin Bieber and Hannah Montana.
Everyone wants to see the advancements and technology coming with the progression of society and time, but do we want to see the changes to new laws, social norms, and taboos?BranKetraFor Christians I imagine their religion would be gone by then. Gay would be the norm. Be a nightmare for Christians.Â
What VaguelyTagged said. Also there is too much suffering in the world, I would take a chance 100 years from now as the problems of today are not going to be solved tomorrow.yes i probably would. hope my life would be slightly less boring in the future.

I'd rather go a thousand years or more, because I've always been interested in what the future would look like.

hell yes.... at some point soon the human race is likely really going to get it's s--t together scientifically and technologically to the point where the advances will seem like f-ckin magic to us. it's depressing knowing at some point there's going to be a generation of people for which living for hundreds, if not thousands of years is a real possibility and to have missed that chance by just a few hundred years stinks... comp_atkinsi feel the same way i'm jealous of the people in the future
[QUOTE="slipknot0129"]For Christians I imagine their religion would be gone by then. Gay would be the norm. Be a nightmare for Christians. I doubt Christianity will be gone. Yes but we can hope for the day when christian, muslim, hindu, shinto etc are not gone or forgotten but like the greek pantheon or norse in asgard or egyptian mysteries are relegated to mythology where they are belong. They are rich cultural, moral and just plain entertaining traditions that came from or produced great books. But they are still myths. In 100 years I hope they are classified as such.. .....also lol at christians that think they know it all when the religions that are myth now, plus some forgotten like sumerian, were around forever when christianity was born. The roman myths which were proper worship were in vouge before jesus was even born, and still in service during his rise fall and after. Perspective and an understanding of history is awesome.[QUOTE="BranKetra"]Everyone wants to see the advancements and technology coming with the progression of society and time, but do we want to see the changes to new laws, social norms, and taboos?BranKetra
I don't think so. I think people born in the 80s, and to some degree in the 90s, had it better than every othe generation. And I think we're going to be the last generations to have had it so well, unforunately.
Completely agree with you. The 90's were the best.. sad to see that it's goneI don't think so. I think people born in the 80s, and to some degree in the 90s, had it better than every othe generation. And I think we're going to be the last generations to have had it so well, unforunately.

It's going to be f ucking horrible with all the amount of debt we'll be in (at least here in the U.S.)I don't think so.
