I think we all know who won the Box office weekend, still don't know? *Sigh* Star Wars: The Last Jedi that's who!

  1. Star Wars: The Last Jedi - $220 Million (new release)
  2. Ferdinand - $13.3 Million (new release)
  3. Coco - $10.0 Million
  4. Wonder - $5.4 Million
  5. Justice League - $4.1 Million
  6. Daddy’s Home 2 - $3.8 Million
  7. Thor: Ragnarok - $2.9 Million
  8. The Disaster Artist - $2.6 Million
  9. Murder on the Orient Express - $2.4 Million
  10. Lady Bird - $2.1 Million

Yeah, this is no surprising The Last Jedi was gonna be the true main movie event we all been waiting for. Star Wars: TLJ crushed everything of course, and it's opening was very comparable to The Force Awakens $247 million opening from two years ago. (which was the first new Star Wars film in 10 years) It will easily finish #1 at the 2017 domestic box office and 5 of the top 7 movies this year will have been Disney films, or at least Disney co-productions. (Star Wars: TLJ, Beauty and the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok)

I'm more surprise Ferdinand open right next to Star Wars and both are aim towards kids, (Star Wars is literally for everyone) but hey, I'm sure Fox is okay with these results.

Also, saw TLJ 2 times this weekend and still giving it a 7/10.

December 15-17 Mojo box office

It wasn't the best or worst Star Wars, just average at best really.

@LexLas: Ferdinand is quality, but its not even close to being boxoffice competition. it looks a like great movie for adults and kids. Ferdinand is a new release also, and it didn't even pull 10% of what TLJ did. I'm sure its an enjoyable movie though

Let's be honest whether you like Star Wars or not it's going to be there for all of December or at least most of it. Now as a surprise I thought Justice League and Thor Ragnorok would have fallen out of the top ten. Also shout out to the Disaster Artist as one of my favorite movies of the year other than Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Mississippi. Something tells me neither of these movies will win the award for best movie but they deserve it to me.

Back then, I gave it a 8/10. Despite it was "A New Hope" 2.0, it was a new Star Wars film in 10 years! No one ever thought we would even get anther Star Wars film and it's still enjoyable to watch today.

If TFA was an 8 and this was a 7 I don'have much hope for it. I really disliked TFA...

What did you give Rogue One?
