I didn't reply in your other thread, hoping not to influence your outcome either way. Hope it turned out well now that you went ahead and did the surgery.

When I can get another 2017 flagship for half the cost and the same or better features from custom FW, why bother, especially at 6.4"...

The thing is I really liked the Note 7. It was a great phone. The form factor was cool, the stylus was (occasionally) handy, it was fast, and that version of the Android interface rocked. I would have kept it (if it didn't blow up in the first month it probably never would) but when they started disabling features over the air and banning them on planes I didn't really have the option of keeping it as my work phone.

They eventually swapped me for an S7 Edge, which is decent but an underwhelming version of what I had in a lot of ways. When the 8s came out I decided to hold out for a Note again.

It went great. 20/20 now and I've not another 6 weeks of healing at which point I'll probably be 20/15 (at least in one eye). I'm done with the medicinal drops as of tomorrow (today was the 6 week mark) and I'm just down to moisturizing drops at night and occasionally during the day, but not often.

What screen protector are you going to get?

I like my iPhone 7, but never use it to its potential. I sometimes browse the app store but feel like 99% of apps exist just for the sake of it. They look nice but what's the point?

Sure they are. But I don't know what I'll get. Seriously considering iPhone SE because I find almost any other popular phone to be to big.

Funny enough old cell phones were huge and silly looking. They finally made them smaller to fit pockets and now they're increasing them again. I love watching old movies/tv and seeing those monstrosities.

I keep my first one, Ericsson GA628 as a reminder.
