so im thinking of finally getting a razor this weekend to trim the moustache that i seem to be noticing. i went to a supermarket a while ago and i found3 razors that looked good.

Schick Quatro Titanium

Gillette Mach 3 Power

Gillette Fusion Power

i asked my friends and i got alot of mixed opinions...

i dont know how frequently i will need to shave but i will probably need to shave maybe once every 2 days. my main probelm is sideburns and a very thin moustache (its very light andthin)

any sugestions?

Go with the Gillette Fusion. Great razor. The precision blade on the back is good for making sure your sideburns are straight and even.

I've used them all and as long as its not one of those orange disposable Bic's you should be fine with any of the ones you listed. Just get the cheapest of the three. I nearly ripped my face off once when I got stuck without my usual razor and had to use those Bics.

the bic ones dont cut you...they are perfectly safe...they just dont shave as well which wont really matter cause his fuzz is probably thin

thats what tweezers and nose trimmers are for.

This is something you should be discussing with your dad so you two can bond and enjoy becoming a man. Then have a few beers and watch a baseball game so you don't feel queer

The Mach 3 doesn't have the precision blade on the back. As much as I thought the precision blade was a gimmick before I bought the Fusion, after buying it, I've gotta admit that the thing is great.

Gillette Fusion Power is a wonderfull razor, and i probly have more hair then most of you guys on my face and let me tell you it works like a charm, and its very solidly built and you can feel that, and the little blade on the back realy realy comes in handy, you should definetly get the Gillette Fusion Power!!

It depends on the kind of hair you have...wet shave razors are good for straight hair while electric razors are better suited to deal with curly/kinky hair (less razor bumps)...I work for a razor company and I've seen varying results through shave tests, but this is the general way it goes...there are always exceptions tho...

I like gilette myself. I never tried the quatro before but I did get a mach 3 and a fusion. THe Mach 3 I would say is the perfect razor and since you only seem to be starting out i would say get that. The fusion really is too much. The only good thing is that one blade is has on the back but thats it. It is harder to use than the mach 3 which is really good.

Fusion is the one to go for, IMO.
I dont shave all that often (I like to have a bit of hair on my face, though not too long :P) but from what I've used, I'd say Fusion.

thanks for all your help guys. i went to the sore and did not find any mach3 powered :( at first i was gonna get the fusion power then (i have no idea why i did this) i put it back and got a m3 turbo...

i swear that thing looks so cool, that i could just hold it up to the hair and they would fall off cause of the sheer awesome look :P

oh, i also got Gillette series foam for sensitive skin (i dont know if i have sensitive skin or not, but better safe than sorry)

well its done...i shaved....

m3 turbo isa very good razor but i had to go over some areas more than 3 times...it was hard to get the areas up by the nose and it left a bit of long stubble in some places.

but its actually very good....

i think ill try the fusion when i have to chuck out my blades

*EDIT*

i think the reasons that i had to go over 3 times or more was that i had too much shaving cream in some areas and that piled up in the razor so it didnt cut well. also it was a quick andslightly hasty shave. i think i need one of those brush things that you use to put on the shaving cream...

I used to use the Gillete, but I wne t back to the standard disposible bic because it took me forever to shave with the gillete and gets closer to the skin in far fewer swipes. Cheaper too.
