Poll I *can* stand the rain! Who likes rain!!? (36 votes)

I like rain! Sprinkle sprinkle! 72%
Hate rain. Gimme that desert climate! 6%
Rain is rain, don't love or hate it. 22%

I live in Northern California (just north of SF) and it has been raining for like three days straight. I don't think it has stopped for about two days, no joke.

We desperately needed this rain, too. I don't think the current amount is enough to get us out of the drought, but it's better than nothing. Everything is going to be green and wonderful, I love how things look during the rain, something about the dark grey sky and the green plants and the pitter-patter of the rain drops falling on the ground.

Plus, it's good video gaming weather ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Only thing I'm worried about is areas where there was fire; apparently forest fires can create this crust on the ground so the water just cascades all the way down instead of absorbing into the ground, which means there can be flooding issues. Those poor people in these areas just c an't catch a break. I'm expecting a lot of mudslides in my area, closed freeways.

So....who likes the rain? Any particular reason? Who doesn't, and what is wrong with you?! (kidding)

I do like a bit of rain. For some reason I sleep better when it's raining.

That said, too much rain over an extended period of time can make me a bit nervous. I had to move out of my house about 10 years back after it rained almost nonstop for weeks, which ended up flooding my house to about waist height. Had to live out of a hotel for a month. On the plus side, the seafood restaurant down the road from the hotel was really nice.

This year's rain season's pretty heavy too, but so far it doesn't look bad enough to make me move out. So far.

I live in Western Canada,so where I live it barely rained all summer, very dry weather all season. It's even been dry so far during the Fall season, not good weather the last couple of years. Rain and snowy weather is the best for gaming I admit and I'd give my right eye for a wet year here. I love rain, snow and sunny, but don't like just overcast, boring af. Must be great to live in Vancouver area,England,Scottland,etc.... I'd would freaking love wet weather year round.

Rain is fine it's darkness and cold weather that I hate. I like when the days are longer. If it's raining and warm then that's fine. It's cold dark rainy days that suck, and mostly because of the cold and darkness.

I live on the west coast of Canada so i've had to make my peace with it. This time of year its normal not to see the sun for weeks on end and it'll rain on and off the entire time.

Not my favorite time of year but once it gets cold enough it dumps snow on the mountains for skiing later + that time of year usually coincides with big game releases so I don't mind too much.

Rain is just a fact of life here don't love it or hate it

I love it at night when I'm in bed. Like it if hadn't had it in awhile in the summer. Hate it when it's longer than 2-3 days worth in a row.

Still enjoying it don't get me wrong but yeah I think 3-4 days is about all I can stand at a time. At least of heavy rain. I think if it's a light sprinkle or mist that's fine.

I used to think I'd fair well in Washington or other rainy places but now I'm not so sure...

Yeah see, here rain feels like a special occasion, at least for the last few years. No joke, it feels like we got more rain in the past week than we got in the past five years or so years combined.

I imagine it'd get old, but right now I kind of want to go lie down in this giant puddle-turned-small-pond that has formed in my lawn.

I like the occasional rain, but it doesn't rain that often where I live. When I was in the UK it did get annoying.

I like it. Can get annoying if it rains for days though.

Like others have said, the sound of rain is like a lullaby when you go to bed.

I like rain. The smell of wet earth and the pattering on the ground. It makes me feel closer to nature. But I understand why people hate it. It's depressing when raining for days in succession and you pretty much can't do anything outdoors.

Yes. Water is good. It is where life begins.

I live in a hilly area, Iโ€™m strong, can build strong walls, Internet will be gone and Elon Musk will send the Americans to Mars. Thereโ€™s nothing to worry about.

I also live in Nor-Cal, but I live on the other side of the Altamont where it has been in triple digit heat nearly all Summer. I'm loving the rain and it could keep raining for months as far I'm concerned. This is my favorite time of the year. My wife likes to sleep on the rainy days and it leaves me free to game.

Depends.. Do I have to be outside while raining? I hate it when I cycle to work and it rains. Driving is OK unless it rains to much.

Rather like rain.

Aside from a nice feeling as it taps your skull, it temporarily removes the street of youths.

@Stevo_the_gamer: A lot of people do. Mostly Bay Area transplants been moving here for better housing prices. As someone who grew up in the Bay (Hayward), I consider the Bay Area to end with Livermore. You cross the Altamont and you are in the Valley.

I can't stand the rain. It mainly comes in handy when you get a week of terrible humid weather in the summer and a nice rain shower helps cool you off. It also can clean your shoes.

I hate the timing of when it rains. The Bears pretty much lost in the 1st quarter. If it wasn't raining, I would've went outside to shoot some hoops.

I like rain as long as I'm inside it's really relaxing when you hear it hit the window great for chilling and having something hot to drink.

And now the sun is out with big, white fluffy clouds.

Given the way the last few years have been, I wouldn't be surprised if this past week was essentially all the rain we get for the year.

*sigh*

Yeah I suppose that's a good dividing line. Nice that BART is about ten minutes from the bottom of the hill though.

Hot Toddies FTW!

Also hot apple cider and buttered rum.

And tea. And hot cocoa.

Yeah all the hot drinks

I like rain when I am indoors. It feels cosy, homely and satisfying.

But when you're outside... it sucks, especially when it's sunny and raining at the same time.

I like rain we need it for drinking and for crop growth. I live in the UK and it rains quite a bit here, strange weather occurrences this year though like snow in May stifling heat in October.

Love a good rain downpour keeps the kids and neighbours indoors..!! At the moment we've got rain and nearly 26 mph winds. I'm loving it as I'm in the house snug even though I've got the flu (flu like symptoms)..!!

The rain is needed. God is unhappy sometimes so we are.

Also, we need to clean all the stuff in town with this water.

And there is an end of The Rain. Which is a Super Awesome Sun.

Itโ€™s desert like conditions here. It almost never rains and practically all the water is imported. Sad state of affairs.

Btw I ๐Ÿ’› the rain.
