Not gonna lie, I agree with the parents. I have no idea how old you are but if your young enough still have to ask your parents for something like that, they probably made the right decision. mrmusicman247

Have your dad see it at first hand. Maybe bring your friend over with his airsoft gun and shoot cans in your backyard that way he can see how it is. If it works out good your parents could approve it, or they could disapprove even more.

I suggest you do some research into airsoft-related injuries. See if the numbers are on your side, and if they are, make the case to your parents that the chances of your being hurt playing airsoft are statistically low. Compare the odds of airsoft injury to something else rare, like getting cancer.

Of course, it's also possible that they know the hobby's not intrinsically dangerous, and they just don't trust you. In that case, be responsible around the house, and try asking again later.
