  • Spanish - native
  • English - fluent
  • Italian - intermediate
  • Chinese - basic

Italian, I've been learning for the past 2 months, since I'm a Spanish native it's actually gotten really easy to the point where I understand at least 90% of conversations. Still, need to work on my writing though.

Chinese, I studied a couple of months in China, but it's way too hard. I'd need at least an additional 4 years to become fluent. I might do it at some point. I can't write, though.

English, Norwegian...

Danish I can read. Impossible to understand when spoken. The Danish language has collapsed into meaningless guttural sounds...

Swedish I can read and understand fairly well when spoken.

I did some French in high-school but it's been so long I barely remember anything. Maybe some day I'll brush up on my French or even learn an entirely new language like Japanese.

But actually knowing/speaking? English native, was nigh fluent in German years ago, but know my German is terrible. Can understand basic Spanish written/spoken.

I should have taken Spanish in high school because I'd probably know how to speak it still; I've worked in jobs where most of the work force is Hispanic.

But my dumbass took French and while at one time I could read and write it well enough, the lack of practice means I all but forgot it.

If you live in the US, for god's sake take Spanish. I am honestly surprised it's not mandatory at this point.

So to answer your question: I know about 1.25 languages; English and a bit of French.
