Eat a lot of very unhealthy food high in saturated fats, simple carbohydrates (refined sugars) and calories and try to lead a sedentary lifestyIe. Other than that it is difficult to combat a powerful metabolism. However, you should feel lucky that you have a good metabolism. Why exactly do you WANT to gain weight?foxhound_fox

Fat is essentially energy storage and is not needed for muscle growth. Gaining muscle is no easy task, especially for your body type. A rigorous eating plan and working your ass off in the gym is needed to gain muscle. I can only assume that you are rather young... probably a freshmen in high school.
Okay well im 5"9 and 120 pounds. ive been trying to gain weight these couple of months but nothing seems to be working. I lost a pound doing nothing but eating food and no exercises....what am I doing wrong xDMrLions
Eating crap to gain weight is not a cool way to go about it. If you are sick in ways you are not telling us, then maybe this isn't the best way to go about it, but if you are just a normal skinny joe, then try bulking on high GI (glycemic Index) carbs like potatoes and white rice. If you want to gain weight, focus on high-GI carbs and not fatty foods, as they will only clog your arteries, NOT bulk on the pounds.

Basically it works as this: The higher the GI number, the greater the food will contribute to your blood-glycogen level, and the more calories will be dropped into your body (stored as fat).

basically some people just dont gain wait as fast as others... we are all different man... and trust me you dont wanna gain weight... because the pounds will poor on once you get over 21 and start drinking and stuff lol
Ok you dont want to get fat, just bigger. First off, start lifting weights, get on a good plan or something, dont just go about it by yourself if you dont have a clue what to due. Second, your diet. Buy a tub or bag of whey protein and take like two servings a day, one right after you lift, and one right before you go to bed. You can add more if you want. Use whole milk instead of low fat milk, and drink about 4 glasses a day. Get some peanut butter in your diet, it has a lot of calories and some protien too. overall, just eat more, just not sugar or 100% fat. Get good carbs, and lots of high quality protiend dude.
And dont do cardio if ur trying to maximize muscle gain. You dont even have to lift every day, aim for about 4 times a week.
