The Mensa Workout is a test designed to determine whether there exists a chance of passing the actual test used to determine whether someone is worthy of joining Mensa or not. Essentially, it's a warm-up test and not the actual test.

EDIT:

Try this IQ Test.

Meh, I missed some easy ones (counting the squares for instance) because I was rushing through it.

Retired.

I worked in IT for a few years, built up a business and then sold it. I still do short-term contracts every once and again just to stay relevant, because if I ever have a family I'll probably jump back in. But right now, mostly yard work here and at my parents, taking care of my parents horses, playing games and watching Netflix.

It's a good life. XD

May I know what your ethnicity is and whether you've taken a formal IQ exam?

White. In my head. Only IQ test I ever had was in 1994, scored 127. But I don't put much faith in IQ tests, they leave out so much like creativity and ingenuity that matter so much more in life than if you can figure out a word problem.

An IQ score of 127 is about two standard deviations above the mean IQ of Whites. You are above average.

That depends. Get me under the hood of a car and I'll **** everything up. My neighbor can barely spell his name but can fix anything motorized with a paper clip, a rubber band and some duct tape.

Again, I don't place much faith in IQ tests. Certain situations call for a completely different kind of intelligence.

I think an IQ score is a good indicator of whether or not someone would do well in a technical field, such as Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Programming.

Take this test. I earned the following score in about 38 minutes. I'm willing to bet you'll do significantly better in less time.

I don't know what it is with me and IQ tests. I start them, do about 5 or 6 questions (normally correctly...at least for the tests that let you check your progress), then I get utterly bored and quit...first I thought it was because the first ones are normally simple and I get bored, so I tried tests with random order questions...same thing, get the first 5 or 6 correct (not always though). get bored, quit...

Then I thought it was maybe because I really don't like the idea of such a simplistic way of measuring intelligence (and for some people, limiting goals and possibilities) so I decided I was going to try really hard and do the whole test and not check my score....managed to get to 10 questions before I spaced out and started doing something else. I have never been able to do a complete IQ test and I'm not sure why...I normally don't have trouble focusing or doing a task from start to finish but with these tests it happens every time.

Oh well, nothing's lost anyway =)

Not to be insultive against rabbit, but no, I'm sorry, this proves nothing, if he in fact has a superior brain, it would need to be shown on something else. This is a random "iq" free internet test which isn't even testing for the whole range of areas in which IQ is supposed to be based on. It's not an IQ test but a pattern recognition test and this part has proven to be terrible at meassuring IQ.

Dont take any of that stuff seriously.

I agree, actually. Pattern recognition isn't difficult for me, especially when they show you the possible answers. I play enough puzzle games and do enough math that patterns aren't difficult to discern. Thus why I had more difficulty with the first test posted than the second.

I'm willing to bet that his brain - either due to genetic predisposition or the plastic nature of the brain - is larger than mine, possessing more neurons, synapses, and gray matter, and subsequently being capable of processing information more efficiently.

I'm willing to bet that his brain - either due to genetic predisposition or the plastic nature of the brain - is larger than mine, possessing more neurons, synapses, and gray matter, and subsequently being capable of processing information more efficiently.

I have Asperger Syndrome, Part of the criteria to be diagnosed is literally to have an average or above average intelligence, my brain is "wired" in a vastly different way from a neurotypical person to the point that my entire senses processing is apparently different from the majority of people (I wouldn't know how though since I dont got a clue on what a "normal" processing is). I have NEVER been good at recognizing patterns, yet if you give me a complex mathemical problem I'll most likely solve it or anything that requires extremely precise memorizing.

So according to this test, I'm dumb, because I'm not good at solving patterns. Of course that nots true, I'm no special snowflake and I know that most likely I'm on the average end of intelligence, but that isn't proven by the fact that I'm not good with patterns, just like how someone who is good at it isn't automatically a genius, thats why things like Mensa tests encompass such a wide arrange of skills (which is still pretty bad for meassuring a person's intelligence) instead of just one area.

Some people with Down Syndrome or other sorts of mental retardation are musical prodigies but it still doesn't changes the fact that their IQ is below 70.

So this test basically amounts to

-can you recognize common squared terms, cubed terms, and simple patterns.

-You know a handful of english idioms

-do you know fibonacci sequence

I literally skipped every grammar/rearrange the word question (except one word problem), I just woke up and am waiting on family to arrive so I just wanted a quick mental pick-me-up.
