Yes, in alot of my classes there is always that one smart kid who knows all the information and is arrogant while the rest of the students do not care... Also sometimes the teacher will give that student a higher grade because the teacher plays favorites.. Has this ever happened to you?

As someone who was sometimes "that one smart kid who knows all the information" and had his teachers like him quite a bit, trust me, there was no begging involved. If you just learned the material and did well in class, you too could be earning a higher grade.

No. I think there's probably some sort of correlation between being "that one smart kid who knows all the information" and getting the highest grade, and it seems to make sense that there would be...but that's just me.

What makes 100%? What does it mean to give more than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

If:

Is represented as:

Then:

H-a-r-d-w-o-r-k

But ,

of course, sometimes being too smart/knowledgeable can hurt. I had this old-ass chemistry teacher in freshman year of high school and she was like "There are three states of matter; solid, liquid, and gas" and then I had to be a smartass and be like "What about plasma?" and she was like "Every year i get one you kids that asks about plasma and blah blah blah" she kind of blew up on me lol.

I never really participated or raised my hand during my school career and that episode only reaffirmed my belief I was doing the right thing by sitting in the back and being quiet lol.

Teachers can hurt as much as they help

i haven't seen any boy begging for a grade,only girls,and yeah i've seen lots of those annoying beggers during these years.

Uh...I'm confused.

You say that this kid is smarter and and knows more than the rest of the class. You also say that the kid sometimes gets a higher grade. So...at what point does he end up begging?

Why should he have to beg for a higher grade, when he is obviously the smartest kid in the room anyway?

If she repeatedly has to hear her students correcting her, then that should sort of give her a hint that she should start giving out correct information.

If she says something wrong, then you correcft her, then she yells at you because people are always correcting her, then that's sort of her fault, not yours..

Please, I don't need to beg. Although today we got our biology tests back and one guy went all quiet and sulky when he read his. If people do the experiment wrong and still beat him, then he should obviously study that formula previously mentioned in le thread.

so many times - sickens me i dunno how many times students openly complained about their grades in front of the whole class to the teatcher and pretty much all the time i can tell u they did not deserve higher then they got and in no case do i know that a teatcher changed it and i also know alot about favorites - more common in lower grades though personally im just sick of the whole school system - it needs a huge redesign

Some guy in 9th grade used class currency (a type of money earned and used only in that class, kind of like those Pullman bucks) to buy a 100 for a test.

Teachers can be real douches, they say there are ni stupid questions, well ask a very simple or basic question and you'll get mocked by a teacher.

Never begged. Didn't care that much since I hated H.S. enough to ditch semesters. And when I did attend, I definitely was probably the smartest kid there since I was usually the only kid listening and not goofing around. Never begged in middle school either even when I knew I was failing a class..

As for seeing other kids in general complain, I do find it annoying. Especially when the sports team players, who usually have other people doing their wor, starts complaining...

I know many kids who are smart and know the answers. But, I wouldn't call any of them arrogant. They know the answer. That's all there is to it. No need to beg for anything. They earned their grade.

Those who don't know the answer and not paying attention are the ones who need to work on something.
