Girlfreind VS Gaming ?

I was wondering if your girlfreind asks you to quit gaming ( to give complete attention to her , save money & ( sell all your gaming accessories ) and to get over your gaming addiction / passion for her as she finds it awkard for a grown up man gaming ) , or else she'd dump you ... would you dump her or would you dump gaming ?

I guess i'll've to sacrifice Gaming ?

Well, it depends on the girlfriend. But at the moment I manage to do both, so I'm sweet.

If I was forced to give it up completely, I would choose gaming. However I would be more than willing to cut back or stop buying new games if I really cared for them.

Neither. It's called compromise, on both ends it shows a complete lack of understanding. If you game too much and spend no time with her than you're in the wrong because you should want to spend time with her. On the other hand, if you game a lot and she wants you to completely give it up and sell everything than that too is unreasonable, she shouldn't expect you to give up something you like doing for her own selfishness.

As I said it's compromise, you spend less time gaming and do other things with her (which you should want to do anyway), and she becomes more tolerant of the hobby that you enjoy.

Thankfully it isn't an issue for me and I doubt it will be in the future.

Strategically allocate just enough time to take the girlfriend to the sack to maximize time gaming? I'd hit it!

If my girlfriend would dump me over one of my hobbies that I've practically done nearly all my life then she's not worth it.

Luckily my girlfriend is to awesome to purpose such preposterous things.

My friend at work was telling me of a story with this one girl when he was 23(now 30). He was with this girl for like 3 months and he woke up in the middle of moring once and he turned the t.v on. He was watching the 3 stooges The girl said "turn that crap off, that show is most stupist shoe ever" He told her GTFO and didn't wanna see her no more.

Gaming.

If she won't appreciate my hobby and is going to tell me what to do and what not to do then she can **** off.
It will start with gaming then it will expand to my other hobbies, then to my friends, then to my car, then to my house, then to whatever what and eventually she'll ditch me and leave me hanging on the street.

Girlfriend would get the boot in a heartbeat on principle. If a GF or BF is demanding you give up a hobby you enjoy completely, that means that they have no hobbies (and possibly no friends) or anything other than you to occupy their time. That alone is reason enough to send off alarms in my head.

I've been gaming for 24 years. My earliest memories of gaming are games like Mario, Zelda, Gauntlet, and Contra. If a girl thinks she is going to win over a childhood fascination that has been a constant my entire life she's more than welcome to try. :lol:

Either take an interest in my hobbies, or find some of your own while I indulge mine is my way of thinking. :)

EDIT: I'm reminded of a quote I saw many many years ago: "A girlfriend is no substitute for a Playstation" :D
