It's not even a question who is the better vocalist. You can say you like Nirvana more, but it's absolutely insane to say Kurt is the better technical vocalist than Freddie Mercury.
It's absolutely batsh*t stupid to claim that Cobain was a better vocalist than Mercury. That said Queen never did much for me (with a few songs excepted) and I've always dug the hell out of Nirvana.
Is this a joke thread? Freddie Mercury is widely regarded as one of the greatest Mainstream Vocalist ever. Kurt Cobain and Nirvana are just an over rated band.
While Freddie Mercury was technically an amazing singer, I didn't like his voice and I loathe Queen's music (it's damn musical music!) Kurt Cobain isn't that great of a singer but his voice was more interesting.
That's a different question than which band was better, which would at least be something I would consider debate-worthy.
The only things they have in common is that that were male singers in a band that died within a few years of each other. More apt comparisons could have been made, but vocally, Mercury is just in a different league than Cobain.

Mercury, unlike cobain, could sing live, he knew how to sing and he had a great voice, did harder things with the vocals, and again unlike cobain, could actually play an instrument while singing. cobain was a terrible musician who is only loved because he splattered his brain against the wall.
