What would you rather have? an STD or a child?

Both sound terrifying, but I prefer an STD. STD are treatable, but a child could greatly hinder that path to success that we dream of. Hold off children till we are successful

It would be more fair if it was between AIDS or a Child.

I wouldn't like either, I child would step in my way to success, and an STD could kill me before I reach said success.

uh, no, that's cruel. The child didn't ask to be born, and that's a human being, not an object you can toss aside.

Yeah, I know, but if teens got careless during sex, and then got a baby they really did not intend and then they were already having trouble with school, then adoption wouldn't be so bad...

So you would rather it lived with it's parents, who may or may not be able to properly care for it, where it's generally unwanted, than with a couple who would love and take care of it?

I do believe that's cruel.

That's the thing, you don't know if a couple wants him/her (not it). A child could live in an adoption house till he/she is 18 (especially if a disability is involved). A poor fate, for a child to live without anyone to take care of them, just because some teens got careless and dumped this poor being into an adoption house.

Hard to say. STD's aren't my cup of tea, but I hate kids as well.

A child. I am nearing the end of my teen years, and even though it would be extremely difficult to have a child at this point in my life, I could manage. My father and his father before him had children at 19 years old. It took a lot of hard work, but they turned out to be great fathers and very happy men.

Wow...uh...Child. I'd rather bring a new life into teh world and not have a disease that may or may not be able to be treated.

AIDs can't be treated. Several others can kill you and some never go away.

So even though I want neither, I'd go with child.

Most STDs are treatable. It don't mean that you can't remove them, but with the right medication though (that doesn't mean you guys should go and not use a condom. Far from it) even AIDS is not as deadly as it was 2 decades ago. But you make a fine point. A new life is a wonderful thing
