I love how the only reason she's in a news article is due to the color of her skin.

Um it's an interesting piece of info? Like considering there were 3200 federal judges elected in the history of the US, it's a sad statistic that only now is the first Native being nominated. My take on it.

Well statistically there should have been like 7. So it's not a big deal.

:| Were the past federal judges not American? Or has there simply never been a natural born American holding the position of Federal Judge?

The media have been perverting the term for decades. A minority being hired in an otherwise white establishment? Affirmative Action.

They couldn't properly articulate an answer if they tried. It's a knee jerk reaction to minorities being hired in an otherwise white institution.

How?

actually, I take it back, it is reverse racism

"Hey look everyone, a NON-WHITE is in a powerful gov't position!"

That is pretty much a form of reverse racism, even if it is positive.  And especially if it used as a politically or marketing ploy.

Don't misinterpret me as thinking there is something wrong with this solely based on the color of her skin, btw; the only thing wrong here is that society thinks it is a big deal still.  Just goes to show we are all racist :P

What a stupid post.

No it's not.

It's the absolute truth.

Turn on MSNBC or CNN. From "Black in America" on CNN, to every person on MSNBC mentioning the color of someone's skin every 5 minutes, to Eric Holder  calling the Tea Party racist when all the Tea Party did was ask for lower taxes.

It's enough already . Liberals are obsessed with skin color - it's disgusting.

Plenty of straight people have been opressed for various reasons.

I'm not interested in your internal american squabbles.

Liberal=

"Liberals espouse a wide array of views ... generally they support ideas such as free and fair elections, civil rights, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free trade, and private property."

It says nothing about skin color in there. I think the issue here is that flubbs is a little insecure hillbilly that needs to put words in other people's mouth to feel better about his own insecurities.
