So every 10 minutes or so the pages just stop loading... well I say stop sites like GameSpot and other forums only load like the top third of the page (the page still says loading in the bottom corner) and I can either wait a few minutes or restart firefox and if I restart it it works straight away, for another 10-15 mins.

I don't get dropped from MSN, Xfire etc. and downloads still continue and normal speeds.

No spyware/viruses etc.

I've reinstalled firefox.

At first I thought it was the add-on "stumble upon" but I got rid of it and the problems still occured.

I'd just use IE but i'd rather put up with restarting my browser every 10 mins than use IE. It's kinda annoying because i've never had this problem before nor have I ever heard of it. I've deleted cache too, still happens.

Are you using a Mac or a PC? I've experienced problems such as you're explaining on a Mac (in which case I suggest using Safari). But I couldn't help you if it's a PC.

Could be periodic packet loss (a problem on your ISP's end.) Pretty easy to test:

Next time this happens in the browser, open up the command prompt (Start-->Run-->type in "cmd" and press enter. If you're on Vista, just press "Start" and type "cmd" in the search box.)

Once you have the prompt up, type in "ping google.com" (without quotes) and see if it reports back any packet loss.
