I used to lurk the forums heavily back so many years ago when I was in my early teens (in my mid twenties now), and the forums were so much funner back then, there's just too many hot-button topics and religious debates to find any fun here... And I think the forums were smaller back then too, so the community was more knit. I find it hard to remember user though, I seem to remember most people by their sigs.

I think the late Lithium months and early big blue days were the most fun times of the old forum. The old OT and SW boards were a blast back in the day. :)
This. Though I don't mind them bring stricter rules for containing insults. Maybe then debates will become more interesting to read through as people will need to present more than an insult to an argument...
No I am sure there are some users out there who were banned but never got unbanned. I would assume especially recent ones? I do not know who exactly since I am new here and it honestly does not matter much to me, though I am kinda upset that some get rejected from this community.
I didn't find this place until 2007, so I guess I missed out on the golden age of GS. That being said there were better posters back around when I joined as opposed to now I feel, so I too miss old OT.
I like being able to speak freely without fear of a banning but I miss the old OT because it was actually active.

Indeed and the topics now are very repetitive, Really I guess I should actually go onto another forum as I don't even follow games anymore but still there is something about this place that keeps me here.
I used to have a lot more fun here. Now I only post here when I'm really bored or procrastinating or intoxicated. It's not a big deal though.t3hrubikscube
I ESPECIALLY MISS BRIE Kids, before you were born, must've been 1982 or 2009, something like that, me and t3hrubikscube used to run roll call.
I remember when roll calls were infested with buttsecks, manlove and all kinds of homosexual activity. Those were the days. Oh Patchi, how I miss thee.
I don't really know anyone here nor did I ever but I do kinda miss the old OT. It was...more fun...
Now it just seems kinda boring. I don't really post here anymore. Well I don't really post much on Gamespot in general anymore, I just pop up every now and then.
I do have some great memories from this place, but stopped visiting around 2006 when a lot of friends got banned. I have no idea why i decided to check in on OT today :S

I've only been posting since 2010, so not that long but sarted lurking around 2008. I was around for the change in rules. After the initial upheaval things settled down again. Maybe I've just gotten used it, but OT really doesn't seem that different. Political and religion threads seem just as common as before and people really didn't argue more Intelligently.
