It's okay, but I greatly prefer the taste of local coffee places a lot better, and pure coffee is cheaper at other locations. What are your thoughts?

Too bitter and way overpriced. McD's and Wendys is far better in my opinion as far as fast food coffee.

This. McD's Iced coffee drinks aren't too bad. I just can't justify spending over five bucks for a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

I used to, but there were too many consecutive times where the iced coffee tasted like water. So.. that was it for me. Swore off them then and haven't been back. I just get local coffee beans and make my coffee at home. It has a bolder taste.

Right, but the coffee itself was watered down. I've gone elsewhere (say, Panera or a local coffee place) and it tastes like, you know, coffee. Starbucks either tastes watered down or burnt.

I do. Local coffee shops vary, Starbucks is consistent. It's also conveniently placed a block from my house. :P

That's because they're selling you the brand, not the coffee torolol

I don't believe I've ever been there except to buy something for someone else. Usually just a black coffee from mc d or home made is fine with me. I do buy the bags of starbucks coffee sometimes and the sumatra is delicious.

Maybe it's just me, but I think DD's coffee tastes like @ss. I'd take Starbucks over them anyways because I like to get quad shots of espresso when I really need to wake up.

I've never bought any of their products at one of their cafes, but I have purchased their bottled Frappucinos and think they're great.

If I could, I would. You can purchase their coffee already ground in most grocery stores here, so there is that.

Their coffee's alright, but I miss the donuts to go with it than anything else. I'd rather have that than the stale, overpriced food some Starbucks have with. Almost two dollars for a plain bagel, and you have to butter it yourself. That's just depressing.

I don't know about any other DD's but the one up the road from me stopped making the donut made for dunking. :(

Starbucks is awful. I love a few local coffeeshops in SF. Blue Bottle is very good, and for a bigger company, Pete's isn't half bad.

They're okay, but too overpriced. There is one on my college campus so I often spend my breaks there to study or hang out. I don't like their coffee at all, but their lattes and frappuccinos are pretty good. Love their pumpkin spice lattes this time of year.

Starbucks is decidedly "okay" for me. I don't go often (as I don't drink coffee), but some of their baked goods are pretty good, and the atmosphere is nice enough for a group study environment.

Meh, Starbucks is basically the Apple of coffee houses. It's good but not great, and certainly far too overpriced for something that's just "good".

Starbucks is too overrated and mainstream. You're thinking of Caribou Coffee As for me. I rarely go to Starbucks. If I do go there, it's for the Caramel Macchiatto. Most of the time it's at home or at Dunkin Donuts.

Yeah, I don't know how the coffee place of suburban soccer moms and 9-5 workers could really be the go to place for hipsters lol:P.
