Does Ghosts exist ?

I used to get scared watching JU ON or THE RING or get scared playing DOOM 3 when i was young , not anymore . I don't think Ghost / or anything supernatural exists ( never seen a ghost in my 30 years ... tbh ) , its a myth .

I actually just had a conversation with a buddy of mine concerning ghosts, i'll copy/paste my statement here:

For Ghosts to exist, science has to be wrong and irrelevent.

For science to exist, ghosts do not exist.

Ghosts are unscientific. They contain no matter and have no energy therefore according to the laws of science, do not exist except in peoples minds.

Of course, the laws of science contain no matter and have no energy either and therefore do not exist in peoples minds.

Its best to refuse to believe in either ghosts, or the laws of science.

Ghosts cannot excist unless the laws of science are faulty or incomplete.

The super natural does not exist.

Super naturalism only exists in peoples mind.

It does not exist in the real world.

Why do you believe in ghosts? Because you've been raised in a culture that believes in ghosts, you've watched ghost movies, you've heard of ghosts stories, or people having "personal experiences" with ghosts.

You have yet to actually researched the existence of ghosts.

Take ghost shows who "hunt" for ghosts.

They never come up with anything. Period.

"Voices" and "small orbital light" does not prove the existence of ghosts.

Think about this,

If I say I can stop time, you'd say "BS. Prove it to me"

But then I'd say "I can't because you'd be frozen in time when I stop time"

Thus unable to show you evidence which you will then call BS until proven concrete evidence.

But if you tell me you believe in ghosts, I'd say "prove it"

But you wouldn't be able to prove it. Neither can science prove the existence of ghosts.

in summary for disproving ghosts with the laws of science:

It does not compute, for ghosts do not exist in every logical reasoning for their is no way you can even prove the existence whatsoever other than idea of simply "believing in the super natural".

Supernatural in definition means: of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe.

Meaning "anything goes" if you believe in the supernatural for it does not need logic or any sort of reality to it because it is all "made up" and only exist in the mind of humans.

i could even go into true claims and falsifiable claims but i wouldn't want to go down that road.

tell your friend to check out quantum physics which theorizes right now that there maybe as many as 11 dimensions, we in this body exist in 3 of those 11 but that doesn't necessarily mean we exist only in these 3 dimensions (technically 4 when you include spacetime)

i'm not saying there are undoubtedly ghosts, but i think theres a teeny tiny possibility. maybe its the optimist in me.

Once when I was driving home from my grandparents with my then bf quite late at night, we saw a woman in a massive, elaborate Elizabethan dress, complete with ruff, just standing near the side of the road by the edge of the trees.

We glanced at each other and I was like wtf, did you see that? And he said he saw her too. We both laughed it off as a woman going to a fancy dress party or whatever. But my Grandparents live in a small village way out in the country, and had heard nothing of such a party, and we'd driven a long way from the village and any houses that I was aware of. So maybe it was a ghost :P Woooo!

and yes, i do acknowledge the thoery of quantum physics and quantum reality.

I'm not quite familiar with it, but i believe Deepak Chopra is a BIG believe of Quantum physics and the "spiritual mind."

Problem is, he doesn't know jack about quantum physics and has been disproven numerous times by actual physicists like Michael Shermer along with Quantum physicists.

I am simply going by the guidelines of the law of science.

It is near impossible to say, altho I suspect the majority of claims of "ghost activity" stems from people who likely has some sort of light disorder (Like a mild skizofrenia) not a disorder that is preasent all the time, but rather something that from time to time plays tricks on vision and sound (I myself has something of that nature, and I do sometimes feel as if there is someone in the room with me, or see something move in the corner of my eye).

I do not personally belive in ghosts, and I am more then likely to claim the rare time I "feel something off" is due to my fragile mentale health.

I can not dismiss the notion that ghosts might exist, I have no proof of it, nor am I in a hurry to disprove any such thing, that it seems that alot of people have this strange need to belive in ghosts and an afterlife (why is beyond me).

Only when confined to a subjective mind's world. There is no evidence to suggest they exist. And by evidence, I mean reproducible and measurable objective/empirical evidence that is not influenced by a mind.

I believe in ghosts, my dad used to live in a haunted house, he told me all the stories that happened to him when he was there, his brother also told me the exact same things. My dad would never lie about stuff like that so i have no choice but to believe really.

They do, I've not seen one but I've seen evidence. Like classic poltergeist behaviour around the house once a couple of years ago.

Well from my religious standpoint, yes I do. But personally I think the idea of what people have as ghosts off somewhat. I would think of it as a spirit who still has business here... Not like spectre apparitions which appear in the form that they used to look like and cause trouble for others.

So I would say yes I do, even though I have never seen one myself.

Scientifically it's not possible. But people's minds can play tricks on them.

that be like you trying to debate edvince that don't or can't explain ghost are real. i have strange expreince when we had to put our dog to sleep. and more than one person in family... heard him at once or another.

this has nothing to do with shows.... this has do with beleving or not and there many unexplain things... that since can't explain so you cannot without a doubt say there no edvince to dissaproved them.
