Do you think the ancient Mayans, Aztecs and Egyptians had a sense of humor?

Back then centuries ago do you think they all had a sense of humor to lighten up when they weren't being all serious and doing human sacrifices and turning each other into mummies?

Ever wonder if they chiseled into the walls stick figure drawings of fart jokes of some kind?

Proper Aztecs and Mayans? Well, the human sacrifices they promoted - bloody as they may be (ranging from skinning an enemy alive to throwing children down pyramid staircases) - were warranted by their religion. If anything, their sacrifices weren't murders and they are in whatever paradise their religion advocates -because- of them. Funny how religion is a relative thing, huh? :P

Or do you intend to tell me that the Christian crusaders who butchered the Muslims (and got butchered in return, yes), or the Spanish Inquisitors, are enjoying heaven because their actions were backed up by the Pope?

I wonder how many white people are in Aztec hell for not sacrificing enough people or how many souls are trapped eternally on this plane of existence because their evil deeds weighed more than a feather.

Of course not.

Humour was invented in 1654 by Sir William A. Humour.

Modern man knows very little about those civilizations, I suspect the only ones that may have any consistency of Truth to who and what these ancient people were about are their immediate decendants, those that stay in tribal societies and/or continue ancient practices passed down through their lineage.

Just imagine if Earth people today went extinct tomorrow. If a humanoid alien race visited the world a few hundred years from now they would hardly recognize or understand anything they found pertaining to us. Our buildings would be crushed under their own weight due to not being maintained. You wouldn't be able to tell what was garbage and what was treasured. Earth would look like a hugh dump site, much different than what we discovered about the civilisations before us.

Some ancient societies still have their buildings standings. I'm almost positive our current society wouldn't be recognize or understood if excavated after thousands of years. We are not as technically advanced, responsible, or commited as our ancestors. In fact, I think in a few thousand more years (if we all died today) the pyramids, tombs, ancient sites of our ancestors will still be recognizable while todays society will not be.

He isn't a Christian, in fact he is an Atheist, just the most obnoxious type who is always looking for excuses to bring up religion and mock it in a thread. Really, this guy talks about religion in every single thread, it doesn't matter if your thread is about physics, chemestry, philosophy or puppy care, he'll bring up religion out of nowhere and make fun of it.

There are stories of jokes and I believe an actual joke or two in the Bible.
