Do you still have media from dead formats? VHS, Beta, casette tapes, CD's, HDDVDs, Laserdisc, UMDs?

I still have my good old VHS and that's because I have most of the unscripted/une-edited movies like Star Wars and I'm keeping them for all GL did before he got carried away with the editing. I also have a few Floppy Disks as well.

I collect games, so an entire wall is covered in about every gen and console you can think of.. other than that I still have some DVD's and VHS tapes that I should probably just get rid of.. Perhaps a garage sale is in my future.

Yeah, man. I still have UMDs, CDs, VHS, and DVDs. I no longer have cassettes as my dad binned them.

Pretty sure I have a few ziplock bags of PC Gamer demo CD's (remember those?! Coconut Monkey for life!) stashed at my parents' house.

Still have a whole bunch of VHS tapes of movies and concert shows. Got a bunch of music CD’s and still buy them as well. Wouldn’t really consider it dead though since new music CD’s still get released these days.

I wouldn't exactly say CD is a "dead format" necessarily. Isn't it still the "defacto" format for physical releases, or has Vinyl officially taken back the mantle? Either way I don't think we can quite call it dead yet since there actually is a consistent release schedule of music (funnily enough I've noticed a few artists releasing things on cassette tape, but that seems more of a gimmick or for nostalgia... not the same as the CD releases).

Anyway, I mostly got rid of cassette and VHS. Those were just bad technology anyway. I still have most of my CD's (other than stuff I purged because the music no longer interested me). I was actually still listening to CD's in my car, until a couple years ago I traded in my car and found that new cars no longer come with CD players! Fortunately I had ripped most of my CD's to .FLAC and that's what I use now on a USB stick. Occasionally I'll even buy a new one (re-issues and super-deluxe editions with surround mixes and what not). DVD I mostly purged to upgrade to blu-ray. I still buy blu-rays and 4K so I consider that very much not dead yet.

I never had any UMD's (never had a PSP anyway) or laserdisc.

I own a handful of CD's. I'd love to repurchase a few VHS tapes. Not to watch, but just for the sake of treating my inner child and admiring the box art.

We have a bunch of MC's and VHS's in the basement somewhere collecting mould and dust. Also, have a bunch of cd's in a case somewhere with bunch of obsolete soft.

I like collecting things, so yes. I have my old Gameboy carts, Mega Drive carts etc. I've been buying some PSP games recently, too. I guess I have CDs, too, but I don't consider them old? They haven't been replaced.
