Rey fanboy.
wbu?
Well?
I think Ren is more of a traditional Star Wars character; flawed, powerful, and used/abused by a higher power. I am genuinely curious where his story ends up.
Rey is, as others have said, a bit of a Mary Sue. I still like her character, though. But it's just crazy because she basically gets everything she wants: has incredible powers (even more incredible, she seems to know how to use them), finds a family (even though it's not her actual family), is attractive and healthy, finds a mentor to teach her the ways of the force, ends up saving the day, and blah blah blah. I don't really care what happens to Rey, unless there is a flip-flop at the end and she goes dark side while Ren goes light side.
I preferred it when Luke, Han, an Leia weren’t dead for stupid reasons.
“Help me George Lucas. You’re our only hope”
Ren is more interesting. The wanna-be Darth Vader angle was interesting.
Bewbs is missing on the option O-O
Rey's a fine protagonist, but I have to give it to Kylo on a lot of levels. Casting the young and "not traditionally good looking" Adam Driver was a very interesting choice. The degree of conflict the character has is cool. The way he teeters on the edge of straight up villain and good character who has gone astray is pretty good stuff, especially after how badly the prequels botched that with Anakin. There were 100 ways they could have written a "road to hell paved with good intentions" storyline but they just made him an arrogant prick from the start of ep2.
