Depends. If they're ugly, it's best they're as tanned as possible. That way you only see their eyes and teeth in the dark.

I love the medium-to-tan look. I mean pale is good, but, I don't really see how it can compare to golden skin like this:

i prefer tanned look. but it depends sometimes though. the lightness of skin alone isn't enough to persuade me either way.

pale can look chic i think given the right outfit and body shape.

but i have to admit when i think of really pale people i first think of teenage emo's, drug addicts, and Edward from Twilight. the first thing i think of tanned is sexy women on a summer beach, and that crazy mom.
