Do you like sushi?

Yes. I love it.

I've grown to not like it.

Obviously the great stuff is great, but so much of it is just mediocre I just don't see the point. Been to Japan as well and, I hate to break it to you folks, but there really isn't that much of a difference between the good spots in the US and the good spots in Japan (of course the great spots in Japan will be a lot better than places in the US).

Also not a big fan of raw fish, it is so flavorless to me, no wonder you're supposed to dunk it in soy sauce and wasabi. Some is good, especially the fattier fish like salmon or mackerel. Mackerel with a paper-thin slice of lemon on top on some rice is so good.

At the end of the day though I'd rather just have a nice bowl of rice with some cooked fish on top.

It’s not bad but I’ve seen a lot of sushi restaurants in a couple towns I’ve lived in get written up/shut down temporarily for health code violations which kept me away from it for a while.

I'm not even sure if I even tried genuine sushi, or if the local stuff just looks like it, but I do like it.

The texture just doesn't work for me. I can eat a little bit and enjoy the taste but I can't scarf it down like people who love it.

Sushi is one of my all-time favorite foods, so yeah I definitely love sushi.

I love seafood in general. I'll eat raw shellfish and I enjoy oysters on the half shell.

@ProtossRushX: Shellfish is an acquired taste that a lot of people don't try because they don't get past the idea they think it's a booger.

I used to be a chef at a seafood restaurant for some odd years, and I was shucking oysters there as well. That was the time when I truly expanded my liking for seafood, and I had to learn all about oysters on-the-spot because where I worked had a constant rotation of different types, and I had to take care of dozens of different species on any given day because that place usually served a selection like that.

First time I ever tried an oyster, though, was in the form of an oyster shot. I love oyster shooters and I love telling people that cause people cringe at such a concept.

I think I can now say I now know well the food. And I know what a good meal is. And the sushi are great. All the restaurants I've try do it so well. Don't try at home :)

For the few years I was in southern California I loved how there were a gazillion sushi places with cheap happy hour. But apparently impossible to find teriyaki like you get in Seattle anywhere else, so there was that. Instead they got this chain called Yoshinoya that's so shit.

I love me some fried chicken sushi. But then again I drown all my sushis in wafu sauce so I'm not sure if I like sushi because all I taste is the sauce.

Honestly, I was a huge hater of sushi till the moment I firstly tasted it :D Now, I'm a big fan of sushi and trying to look for new brands of sushi in my town as I'm crazy about it. One problem it's quite expensive so I can't afford to eat it more than twice a weekend.
