This is a celeb leak the likes of which have never been seen. Usually you have leaks of a few celebs or a few pics of one celeb but this is many pics of many man celebs. It's pretty crazy

well they werent really file they personally uploaded to the net.

they were on the icloud or whatever. every picture that was taken with their phones, whether they saved them or deleted them, are stored on the icloud.

I agree. At the same time, there's a pretty simple solution to this: stop taking nude pictures of yourself on your PHONE. How stupid can you be to still be doing this? You know how it's going to end up. If you really need to take nude pictures of yourself, just use some random camera or something. I don't get this "my SO just needed to see my penis" rebuttal. If you're that fucking horny, just meet up.

This incident probably did more damage to Apple and other American companies that offer paid cloud services than the NSA leaks did. At least with the NSA leaks people were only worried about Uncle Sam knowing that they jerked off to transsexual or anime porn, now with this they are going to be worried some guy on 4chan can get their bank account or credit card numbers and post them on the net for profit.

Of course, the best way to alleviate this is to simply save things you don't care get leaked on the cloud and the stuff you absolutely don't want to get out under any circumstances should stick to private hard drives even if their destruction would mean losing the information forever. That, and be smart about your upload settings (most phones have cloud backup turned on by default) and don't use stupid passwords like a loved one's birthday or pieces of your street address.
