Poll Do you check "remember my password"? (11 votes)

Yes 45%
No 27%
Sometimes 27%

I'm the family 'computer guy', and when someone forgets their password it's up to me to fix it. I'm all the damn time telling these people "don't check remember my password, that way you have to use it and will remember it". But without fail..."my son used my laptop to check his E-mail and now my password is gone".

Errrahhg!

How about you folks? Do you type your passwords in or do you click that little 'I can't remember shit' check box?

Yeah, I don't care.

My Haf-X weighted about 120lbs at one point if you try and steal my computer it won't exactly be stealthy.

I have a Haf-cube now, but it's still not a concern of mine. No one uses my computer, and if it was stolen I would simply call the bank and cancel all cards.

I have 5 base passwords and use variations for different depending how important the stuff I'm securing is. But yeah, I totally mark "remember my password", it is a bitch to sign in on dozens and dozens of pages.

On important accounts, like my main email, I never check it. On unimportant stuff I do.

Within my main email account I have reminders of my other passwords.

About the only thing I have remembering my password is my PS3, and my 360. Just because I don't want to have to type it in with the gamepad.

Depends on both the site and the machine I'm on. I check that box for facebook on my own pc for instance, but never for sites where I pay bills or buy things. On the other hand I always leave that box unchecked when it's a different machine.

I never check that box. But sometimes it's checked by default (like here), and I'm too lazy to uncheck it.

Yes. im lazy and dont wanna have to type in my password everytime.

also, stupidly enough i only use one password for pretty much everything, so kinda hard to get any mixed up. though im not too worried about that. its all trivial shit like forums and shit.

oh except my email, i use a different password for that. on the off chance someone got a hold of my "master" password, they cant get into my email.

Always. I can't readily recall all of those passwords.
