Well the Vocational choice I'm pursing right now, won't be about saving the world per say, but rather saving people's souls. That is if I continue seminary and graduate to become a priest but that's a long ways away so I can't give you an answer right now. Ask me again in 8 years.

Everyone has an impact on their own environment so we all do to a small degree.

Do I think I'll have an Elvis like effect or something even close? No.

Everything we do changes the world. We may not hear much about a random doctor in Kentucky, but to the people he/she has saved he was incredibly important.

Everytime you help or hurt someone else you change the world. Who knows what it could eventually lead to?

Removing a stone from one place to another can be considered changing the world.

Indeed. I'm just trying to make a big difference instead of a small change. I want my drip of water to be the drop that makes the bucket overflow.

Yes, in 42 more months you will all witness that change--but sadly, I doubt anyone will like it.

I would argue no, due to the fact that it stones moving around is already natural and nothing really changes with the outcome.

Not even when you are the one moving it instead of nature itself?

Nah I don't think so but if I can help imrpove someone elses view ont he world or have an impact on them (for example a child I would eventually teach since I am going to be a music teacher, or even one of my own children) then I would be content with that.

Seeing as it happens all the time.. It would be literally like taking a bucket of water from a stream and putting it into the ocean a hundred miles away.. Sooner or later it was going to get there, and nothing has changed with the outcome.. Our world is constantly changing and I would argue it would take alot more to have an effect on the actual planet.

Saving souls by religion? That's like putting out a fire with a flamethrower.

Actually I have heard of a way to help stop the spread of fires by setting things on fire. Basically, if something has already been burned, it's not going to burn again. :P
