Do non-Asian people like anime?

Today at school, my classmate said that only Asian peoplelike anime. I'm Asian and I find that somewhat true because all my Asian friends like anime. So do you non-Asians like anime? And state what nationality are you.

Asian americans like anime.. But all the asian people I met that actually live in Asia don't seem too impressed with it.

As far as I know there are probably more non asians who like anime than there are asians.. unless people from China like anime.. which I don't know because I've never been to china.

hispanic here, I've been to 3 anime cons with friends, and have just finished watching Elfen Lied. I recommend it to everyone here. Also, Avatar the Last Airbender, I'm going to go through that series next but I heard good stuff about it.
