There is no actual word on one, but look at Doom and Resident Evil. Both great horror games, made into good horror movies. We all know it's going to happen to Dead Space, and I mean a real multi-million dollar budget one, not the ones they made before the games release.

Doom a good horror movie? That's actually up there with the likes of House of the Dead for crapiness. Then only the first RE was good. 2 was ok and 3 was mediocre.

Are you serious? Try reversing the order of the RE movies. I liked 3 the best.

Ya I'm pretty sure theres an animated Dead Space movie coming out pretty soon. And its an actual movie not just an animated comic, although the comics were really good.

Did people actually find those movies scary? They were ok, but they certainly were not horror movies.

All of the RE movies were garbage.

It's a shame because they had potential to be great.

the resident evil movies were terrible. well RE3 was entertaining all the way through but only because it shoved action in our faces. Doom sucked. House of the dead sucked. and dont even get me started on alone in the dark...

Dead Space was a very interesting game with a unique atmosphere.. The closest thing I can compare it to is Event Horizon.. It could be good if they have a good writer, director and producer, and it is taken seriously.. Though that is a big if.

If it happens then who cares? SO Max Payne sucked. So what? Doesn't change the fact that the games are are great.

By the way I'm pretty sure EA said they weren't looking to make it into a movie. They also said they are moving away from licensed games and are focusing on original IP's. Looking at 2008 they actually are being quite honest.

Yeah, probably.

And it'll probably be about a big military squad going on with giant guns en masse and will have nothing to do with the actual story.

Which is a shame because the real plot can so be made into a movie.. I am sick of the tough guy military types, hopefully if they make it, they still use the average engineer guy.

Be thankful it's not live action just animated. Also be thankful it's not anime either otherwise it'll be even worse.

Fix'd/10.

If it's good I'll see it, if it's bad I'll see it. Horror movies that are generally terrible are entertaining for the sheer stupidity or shock factor.

I wouldn't exactly call Isaac "ordinary".

I love military types, they're definitely the coolest kind of character, but seeing a different kind would do me good.

There shouldn't be any other characters added to the movie. I would want to feeling of isolation that you got in Dead Space. If they make it scary enough, nobody will mind.

Event Horizon.

Either way if video game licenses were actually taken seriously for a change and we got a actual good director, writer and producer, instead of the absolute awful ones.. We may see some good movies..
