Contrary To Trump Campaign Claims, Russia Confirms It Was In Contact During Campaign

Now that we're done with Trump campaign scandals, The Donald wanted to get an early start on Trump Presidential scandals. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov says there were repeated contacts with multiple members of the Trump team during the campaign. Trump's team continues to deny there were contacts. When pushed for clarification, Russians say the contacts were for normal practices, arranging interviews and clarifying campaign remarks, and that they also attempted to contact Clinton, but were rebuffed. Clinton campaign says this clarification is false.

Hopefully, before he inevitably starts abusing power the first minute he's challenged, he can do a few populist things to try to earn that love and respect he so desperately wants, and of which he is thus far so richly undeserving. Nixon was a dark-soul'd vengeful racist, sexist, bigoted bastard who was the last human being that was simply wrong for the Presidency, yet he still managed to create the EPA, OSHA, the Clean Air Act, etc. He no doubt was trying to convince people, including himself, that what they saw when they saw straight through him wasn't in fact, the whole story. Of course, Trump just appointed a climate denier who's not a scientist to oversee his EPA transition team, so shit springs eternal.

In order to keep his billionaire oligarchs slaked with their carbon thirst, it was in his interest to help the anti-save-the-planet-guy. I wonder if this wasn't about geo-political power at all (Ukraine, NATO, etc), perhaps it was simply about money. Putin can't continue to crush the Russian people without carbon-based economics. If the US could have been a partner to Germany in transitioning Europe to green energy, Putin's economy would collapse. Additionally, Russia is one of the only regions that might actually benefit from global warming, gaining massive amounts of new arable land.

They are pretty much welcome to the east and west coast too.

And Nobody is really doing much with New Mexico these days either and it would be a pretty great staging area.

That's a very interesting theory. It's certainly true that Russia's economy is heavily dependent on fossil fuels and that attempts to diversify the economy haven't been very successful so far.

Additionally, Russia is one of the only regions that might actually benefit from global warming, gaining massive amounts of new arable land.

Global warming will also render the Arctic and its natural resources more accessible and potentially even open Arctic passages with significant strategic value but, of course, the region is contested by the US, Canada, Denmark/Greenland etc. Russia's extensive preparation for war in the Arctic actually seems quite ominous.

Jeez, for all this talk about Trump wanting to start World War 3, it's the anti-Trumpers who keep harping on about Putin being the evil guy behind it all?

WikiLeaks has repeatedly denied that Russia had a hand to play in the American election. It's a false bogeyman created by the Democrats to keep Hillary's ship afloat. The saboteurs were people on the inside i.e American citizens who knew all about Crooked Hillary.

If I may indulge in a bit of a conspiracy then: it's no coincidence the head of the FBI decided to re-open Hillary's email case days before the election. Yes it was completely underhanded, but even James Comey was sick of Hillary's treachery.

I believe it, I also believe the admission was calculated to stir shit up here too. Russia's aim is to break down their adversaries as much as possible, any thought that they're going to work with Trump on mutual grounds should be met with severe skepticism. Their aim is to get the one up on the Western allied countries, and they're pursue that as much as they can. It's not just the US their meddling in, its Europe too.
