why do more were glasses to contacts? I were contacts, which mush better than glasses.

I switch between glasses and contacts, whichever one I feel like wearing.
currently I'm forced to wear glasses because I lost a contact :o
...contacts add up in price over time. I also prefer glasses because I don't like sticking things in my eyes. I might forget I have them on causing me to sleep with them on then causing me to get an eye infection then causing me to go blind (I've heard stories).
I have been thinking about switching to contacts for a while until my left ear heals up from the cut I got from my frame. I need new glasses I don't want to pay for. :|
You missed an option: Lasik. Best way to goCraigB
well my optometrist told me that vision can continue to change (read: worsen) into your late 20's. so no lasik for me in the near future.

I've been seriously considering Lasik for a while. My problem is that for the past few years, my prescription has changed many times.

PRK is even better - if you can stand the discomfort.

You're eyes constantly change, plus not everyone can afford it.
im scared to put stuff near my eye...HellsAngel2c
Ever since i started wearing contacts, Im not scared to do that. It creeps people out and makes them shudder when I take my contacts out infront of them.

Actually, you save money over the long term since contacts constantly accrue cost from replacements and solutions. An attractive new pair of glasses can run several hundred bucks, too. LASIK is just a big up front charge and its also surgery on your eyes - the only pair that you will ever have. That's why I've avoided it.
Glasses. I dont do contacts. One of my friends contacts went in the back of his head.Tjeremiah1988
They can get stuck under your lids, but they can't go back like that.
I prefer glasses. Doesn't take forever to put on like contacts. Elviathan
Should take less than a minute once you get the hang of it.
I had an eye test about 3 weeks ago and the dude and I were talking about contact lenses and i was like "Oh i'd hate to have them, i don't really like the idea of sticking my finger in my eye everyday" and he laughed and was said "A lot of people say that, it doesn't become a problem after the first few times" so we continued the eye test and he left the room, said he'd be back in a minute, he came back with contact lenses and and basically sprung it on me that he was aout to shove his finger in my eye. Which he did. And i don't know if this is normal the first time, but it was basically like flood gates opened and tears stream out down your face, it doesn't hurt or anything its just the inital contact.
So after he done the first eye i was kinda in shock and kinda in "Wasn't really that bad, you can barely feel it." mood, mainly shock though. Then he came at me again with the second one, same thing happened, flood gates, streams, the whole lot. Then about 5 minutes later it came to taking them out again. Which i must say i'm entirely greatful that he done because i'd of never got them out. More streams of tears later and me and a contactless pair of eyes are heading home and its then i knew contacts really weren't for me. Too much nonsense, with glasses all you have to do is stick them on your face and nobody knows who you are...
glasses ftw! cuz then i look EVEN MORE like Harry Potter! :)gorilazandgames
