Back in the day when Rock Band was going strong there was a concert thread that ran for days. Basically what and where was the last show you went to and do you have any future shows planned?

My last show was Buckethead New Year show in Sacramento Ca. Great show with no opening act. Just 2 and a half hours of Bucket doing his thing. He's going through some health problems and may not be around much longer so I'm glad I got to see him again.

My next show is Weird Al Yankovich in Oakland next month. Can't wait for this one. Been a fan since 1986 and I've never seen him live.

Who's seeing what? Lets talk some tunes.

Last show for me was Alice in Chains, in Winnipeg, several years ago.

The best concert I have ever seen was Echo and the Bunnymen here in Philly in 1987. By that time, they had 4 excellent albums behind them, and a 5th upcoming that would include Lips Like Sugar, a song that was amazing live during their encore. All in all, they played 20-25 songs, roughly half of their entire catalogue to that point. Great live band.

One of the 80's great bands at their peak.

Yeah it's a shame they couldn't rekindle the magic.

Anyway the best band I've ever seen in concert is The Cure. Definitely get your money's worth.

@LJS9502_basic:

I don't know how I missed The Cure during the 80's, they weren't one of my very favorite bands, but I liked them, and would have enjoyed seeing them. But I'm still mad at myself for not going with my brother to see The Pixies in the late 80's.

@LJS9502_basic: I grew up a heavy metal / punk rock kid and wouldn't dream of listening to the Cure back in the early 90's. Over the last year though I've found them quite enjoyable.

@brimmul777: Caught ozzy at the 2000 Ozzfest at Shoreline in Menlo Park. He did put on a good show.

On a side note with your Angus Young pic. AC/DC in Frisco was my first rock concert in 1989 at 14 years old. My mom got me 2 tickets for early Christmas present. Took 2 buddies and bought a scalped ticket at show for the 3rd. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to.

@heathen75: I've seen AC/DC 7 times in my life. Missed them in the last couple of tours, but in my opinion AC/DC does put on one of the best shows there is in music. Megadeth also puts on a powerful metal show as well,Maiden too.

Saw The Devil Makes Three a short while ago. Really good stuff.

This might have been the show I went to.

Great live performers, sound as good if not better than their studio stuff.

7 times? Damn, always wanted to catch them again but they got expensive after the 90's. I caught Megadeth and Suicidal Tendencies A little over a year ago. Both were still great but their sets were a bit short. 1st time seeing both but worth the wait as I got to take my son with me.

@AFBrat77: I went to the Blow up your video tour. Started in darkness with the top of a missile coming through the bottom of the stage. Then Angus kicks open the door and jumps out of it playing Heatseeker. Awesome opening. the best part of the show though, was for those about to rock. They had two cannons mounted about 20ft above the stage that would fire off during the song.

I've never actually been to a concert. Being a minor and having parents with different music tastes sucks.

Just saw Modest Mouse last Friday at The Fillmore in Charlotte NC.

Seeing Glass Animals in June, also in Charlotte.
