He seems to look like him....

Meh, I slightly hate him...the only movie he was in that I liked was 'Sunshine' and that was purely because he wasn't some arrogant womanizer with a superpower.
Haha same here, but they're both equally annoying. ;)When you said Chris Evans, I thought of

[QUOTE="MushroomWig"]Kinda same here. But that's probably cause Sunshine was a really good movie.Meh, I slightly hate him...the only movie he was in that I liked was 'Sunshine' and that was purely because he wasn't some arrogant womanizer with a superpower.

I loved it until it became a slasher. Moon is a much better sci fi movie. Also what is wrong with Chris Evans being Captain America? Its not as if Captain America is a very complex and interesting character. Chris Evans just needs to bulk up a bit.
That is kinda like when they got that dude from that 70's show to play Venom in Spiderman 3.GrandJuryBeetlejuice was Batman twice, it's not that bad really (Venom totally was).
Terrible choice. He was flat, annoying, and obnoxious in the Fantastic 4 movies. He's not a good actor. This will probably go down the road of F4 and all the bad superhero movies.

Another problem with Captain America is it could be hard to take him seriously in movie form. Maybe its because I am not a fan of the comics but I always found him to be a bit silly and ridiculous. Who knows though maybe they will make a good movie out him. Chris Evans was decent in Sunshine, The loss of a teardrop diamond, Street kings, London, and Fierce people. I think he may have potential.

Well, I haven't seen him in anything other than the F4 movies, but that was bad enough for me.
He isn't anything but a pretty boy with muscles and good teeth. Get someone who can act and deliver...lonewolf604
He was great in Not Another Teen Movie... He does play cocky jock pretty well. I've liked most the things I've seen him in though so until he proves otherwise, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I also dont think he is a good actor. He was pretty dull in Avatar. The only movie I liked him in was Terminator Salvation. He was pretty much the only good part of that movie. I find him bland most of the time.
I never understood the fascination behind Captain America, he's essentially just a propaganda figure with lame superhero abilities. FrostyPhantasmHe's like Master chief, just a super soldier his "super powers" are actually the max potential of the human race, maybe his popularity came when they killed him in Civil War.
I never understood the fascination behind Captain America, he's essentially just a propaganda figure with lame superhero abilities. FrostyPhantasmHe has no superhuman powers. While he was created as a propaganda figure in the 40's, he has since come to represent the ideals of America rather than the government of America. For instance, in the wake of the Watergate conspiracy being exposed, a Captain America storyline occurred where he disocvered a sinister secret organization was actually headed by the President in Marvel continuity. As a result, he renounced the name "Captain America" and became Nomad for a time. Subsequently, after resuming his mantle, his commission was revoked by the US government when he refused to go fight in a Cold War proxy state. He's also frequently the last man standing against opponents like Doom and Thanos, when each of those characters had become effectively omnipotent, and was the only person capable of fighting against Kang the Conqueror when that villain had completely taken over the Earth. He has a Batman-like level of hypercompetence, but without the cynicism or sneakiness that Batman employs, just pure willpower and idealism.

I liked him in Avatar. I didn't think the performance was bad at all. He did what he was supposed to do pretty well.

In the comic world Captain America is a symbol of the ideals of America, not of the government. He has more than once gone "rogue" and gone against the government when he feels they are no longer standing for what they should. Most recently civil war where he became a wanted man and went against the US' new law that all super heroes must reveal their identity to the government.
