credit to mevotex@miricommunity.net The China Internet Information Center (china.org.cn) has recently compiled a rich list based on Forbes China, detailing the top 10 richest people of ethnic Chinese descent across the globe. According to the list, Hong Kong's Li Ka Shing has been the world's richest Chinese for a consecutive fifteen years by now, and is enjoying a comfortable lead against the second runner-up Lee Shau Kee. The Chinese are also economically dominant in several countries; they comprised of the wealthiest men in Belize, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, St. Kitts & Nevis, Taiwan and Thailand. Hong Kong remains the 'capital centre of the Chinese world', a city that produces all of the top 3 wealthiest Chinese in the list. It has 39 ethnic Chinese billionaires, who have a combined net worth of $184 billion. A CNN report last year predicted that Hong Kong will overtake New York and London to be the world's largest financial center by 2017. Outside Greater China, Chinese tycoons such as Robert Kuok controls Wilmar International, Asia biggest agribusiness group; Dhanin Chearavanont operates Thailand biggest conglomerate Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group; Anthony Salim runs Indonesia top conglomerate Salim Group; Henry Sy owns SM Group, the Philippines largest conglomerate; Lo Ping Zhong manages Asia World, Myanmar no.1 conglomerate, Kith Meng helms The Royal Group, Cambodia biggest and most diversified conglomerate. Chinese economic influence outside Greater China The greatest extent of Chinese economic dominance is observed in Laos, where the 1 to 2 percent Chinese minority control nearly 100% of the country's entire business community, profiting eagerly from every grudging inch of globalization-induced market opening. According to the Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report, the 1.31 billion Han Chinese in the world have accumulated a total wealth of US$24-25 trillion, or 11% of the planet's US$223 trillion. The report further added that China is creating wealth at an amazing rate, and estimated that it would add another US$18 trillion in the next 5 years. By 2020, the Chinese is projected to increase share of wealth to 20% of the world's total. The 10 richest Chinese around the world: 1. Very true, at least they're not trying to colonize it.

bad news, they are funding operations that effectively will "colonize" african nations starting from madagascar.
