It seems like we have an election every month in canada. These last two years have felt like a very, very long campaign.

I don't agree with the Conservative platform, and I sure as hell don't want to turn into another USA, but the Liberals seriously needed a kick in the a**.

lol. Haven't seen that one.

I was trying to decide whether to spoil my ballot, or to vote green. I ended up going green. I couldn't vote Layton.

:| Like we don't have the title already.

Besides- the United States remains a superior nation to Canada in many ways, hence we would do good by emulating their policies further.

I don't see what everyone is fussing about. This election turned out great. We get a desperately needed change in government to give the Liberals time off to reorganize themselves, and the minority status ensures that none of the scary social right agenda can creep in without getting shot down. Quebec wins hard too, since not only do they get an assured 2-3 cabinet ministers from Quebec due to the Conservative breakthrough, but the Bloc held on to enough seats to become the balance of power on any vote. NDP made leaps and bounds forward in seats and popular vote, and the Liberals didn't lose nearly as many seats as polls suggested. Win-Win-Win-Win for all parties involved.

The best part is that there was no election fraud, no clearly biased media and, like Rick Mercer said "Not one shot was fired."

Elections make me proud to live in such a free county.
