Yes, right now, a 9 month old infant. Considering your current life, can you handle it? Why or why not?

Like others are saying, financially I would get wrecked, but if I put all my mental/emotioal strenght to it, I could possibly give it a whirl.

Not financially since I'm still a student, but I've taken care of babies in the past so I could handle it.

Nope.

I'm a student so dropping that to go work full time just to support that kid and possibly also the mother is a big no no.

I also lack the patience to deal with one of those.

I got mad the other month cause this one girl I used to like got preggers and dropped college but that was when I realised that I was blessed to not have that kind of burden placed on me.

I'm not in a hurry to become a father anytime soon.

Yes. I own my home. I own my car. I have no debt since I paid off my student loans this summer, and I make almost $6,000 above my states median income. I'm also getting married in 4 months, and when we do, our combined incomes will put us at almost double our states average income. Bring it. But not for a few more years, we're going to vacation the first few years and spend our money on us.

Nope.

Why? I still live with my parents, I haven't started college yet and I don't have a job. I don't want to be a father any time soon anyway, it's not for me.

Sure could. Just means cutting back on a great deal of stuff. No video games, movie nights, dining out, driving to work, free time. First world problems.

a baby shouldnt be refered to as "one of those"

makes it sound like something youd just throw away or wouldnt care about. makes them seem like a lifeless object.

imo.

Although I'm still financially dependent on my family, I do have access to financial resources in serious cases, which include something important like having to take care of a baby. And I feel that I am emotionally capable of caring for children because I usually have a lot of patience, I can learn things quickly, and I'm just fond of children in general. So, yes.

With financial assistance from family, yes. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to provide for the baby (or myself) at the moment, at least. I've been around enough babies in my lifetime that I'm confident that know how to take care of them, I'm just not financially ready.

Yup since my son just turned one last month. He is the best thing thats ever happened to me. Even though it's 6am and for some reason he randomly decided he wanted to wake up at 5am.. I've had 4 hours sleep and working 6 day work weeks, I don't mind at all because he is so amazing. He is watching Micky Mouse screaming "dad dad dad" randomly at me while I sit here trying to stay awake. You won't truely know how amazing it is until you have your own child. Best feeling ever!

I am 31 so I sure hope so or I will never be able to. I work 4 12 hour shifts a week so that would make it hard alone. But I am closing on a house next month, have a decent paying job and I am about as ready as I am gonna get in my life. My fiancé and I actually just put some baby stuff on layaway the other day. We are planning on working on the baby part sometime next year.

Emotionally I could probably cope with the situation as I can have a lot of patience and I would learn the basics of taking care of a baby after a while. Since I' m only 19 years old though and still living with my parents, financially it would be a huge burden.

Financially, I'm not sure. If I could stay living where I am, it's possible. Emotionally it would be an adjustment, but I could probably do it. I'd rather the kid be 14 or 15 months old, rather than 9 though. When they can walk by themselves they seem far less breakable.

Puh. Nearly happened to me and my partner recently (false alarm) and I've realized it would be such a wrong moment right now.

We have some financial troubles and lots of stress at school (we are both students)..

Some day I've be happy to, I am looking forward to have a baby, but no now.
