Can the Avengers movie live up to the all hype?

2 years ago at the end of Iron Man we saw Nick Fury talking to Tony Stark about the Avenger initiative and then its talked about more in Iron Man 2, and we see captain America's shield and Thor's hammer in it as well. And what was discussed at Comic Con about the movie is creating more and more hype for the Avengers movie. Do you think it will live up to all the hype that Marvel is pushing, or do you think that this is a disaster waiting to happen?

Batman 3 has me more excited.

I think that some ideas in the comics would make for some pretty meh movies. I'm not expecting Thor to be good at all, and overall I don't think Avengers will meet the hype. I am expecting it to be good (considering I enjoyed both Iron Man movies and Hulk). But like I said, I think Thor is going to be the weakest link in the entire thing.

No possible way, it's gonna tank hard. I'll still see it because, dude, Avengers, but I don't expect much from it. Then again I was pleasantly surprised by Hulk, so who knows.

All that Avengers **** ruined Iron Man 2. I hope it flops hard.

Which is why I'm skeptical. I'm also skeptical because putting a bunch of cool superheroes on screen at once doesn't always make for a good movie. Case in point, both FF films, Iron Man 2, X-Men Last Stand, etc. I'll still see it simply because it's cool seeing them all on screen at once, like it was in Iron Man 2, but that cool factor didn't make IM2 a better movie.

we wont know till the trailer is public. the closest thing I have to the trailer is the audio.

It probably won't, buu I'll watch it regardless. Why? Well, because it's the MOTHAFUGGIN AVENGERS.

Should be an ok movie. Not expecting another Dark Knight blockbuster.

Maybe, maybe not. I bet it'll make a lot of money though.
