People have profited from lies, and continue to. They should read the Bible, which is enough. The Bible is the only source of truth. Anything written by man cannot be infallible."

OT sort of but I watched the princess bride last night, was extremely pleased to find I had picked it up on bluray at some point with a steelcase and have no memory of doing so.

i said all that before i read the bible then i read the bible and realized the religious are nothing but metaphysical whores that trade behavior for material comforts in the afterlife.

all religions give out afterlife prizes for behavior.

maybe it is as simple as mansions and streets of gold for the christians or young pussy for the muslims.

maybe it is more complex like being set free from the wheel of karma.

in the end your morality is bought and paid for which is no real morality at all.

the various religions have all the subtlety of if you are good in the store you can have candy on the way out.

real morality is doing good for those around you with no expectation of rewards.

religions fail in even the most basic purpose they are supposed to fulfill and you all ignore it because you may not get your payday.

You're referring to a specific subset of religion called evacuation theology (and poorly, at that). A wider range of experience with various religions and theologies would quickly show you that your generalizations are not apt.
