Black Friday or Cyber Monday Shopping 2017! What are you gonna buy this year OT?

Me, I'm waiting to see if any deals will happen with Nvidia GTX 1080 or at least a GTX 1070Ti during Black Friday or Cyber Monday. TV's? Not really interested buying 4KTV or HDR so therefore, no shopping TV for me this year. Not sure what else I'll buy but in any case, I'll just post some sale stuff if anyone finds these interesting: (I admit, that 4KTV sale looks temping)

8tb external hdd, 5tb hdd, blu ray drive and another ps4 controller at the moment. already bought a kitchen aid mixer and 128 gb micro sd from the pre-black friday sale.

I'm building a new PC come cyber Monday. The only thing that sucks is not knowing what's going to be on sell before hand, so I'll be spending a few hours figuring out the best build to take advantage of the discounts.

@davillain-: Don't you own a 1070?, what's the point in upgrading to a 1070 ti or 1080? either go all in and get a 1080 ti or wait for volta.

Will pick up Okami HD but nothing else planned.

My big purchase will be next year want a hdmi 2.1 tv possibly a oled, a Volta Titan (not waiting a year for a ti), and some jrpg Monster Hunter Worlds, Ni no Kuni 2, and maybe Final Fantasy 15 pc.

@locus-solus: There's no Volta gaming GPU, its called Ampere.

When are they?

I hardly don't pay any GPU above $500 and plus, I only have 1440p/60fps monitor and by having a 1080Ti is way overkill unless I have 144Hz monitor, then yeah, I would probably buy 1080Ti. I still love my 1070 but if I see any deals on GPU 1080 or 1070Ti, it's better to hit the button then to pay regular price.

I'm not interest in Volta and from what I heard, it's not aiming for pure gaming, just workstation.

Black Friday starts after Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday starts 3 days after Black Friday.

I have a list of ps4 games that came out earlier this year that are super cheap on black friday. I will be picking up: nioh, tekken 7, watchdogs 2, kingdom hearts etc

Probably just removing Tensor Cores, hbm2/controller, fp64 and other tweaks. As long as the flagship geforce has 5120 cuda cores (full chip has 5376), 12nm die shrink, has 12 gb of gdr6, decent overclocker, and hdmi 2.1 output I'll be happy.

Both meh sales for Australia, its all about Click Frenzy here and Singles day last week was better.

Probably a new pair of trainers, Tekken 7 and FF12 PS4 (if the price is right), and maybe some new clothes.

Nothing ... I would buy a Switch if I could get one for around $100 but since that won't happen I'll be buying nothing.

Psvr base model if I can find one for $200 online. Otherwise I'm looking at the $349 psvr Skyrim one.

I just started working a new job, so I won't have much money for anything else. But I'll be doing overtime to save money. For potentially building a PC early next year. All depending on my job situation as my current retail job is only guaranteed to be seasonal. Also have my eyes on potentially buying a Chromebook for the right price and features next month.

PSVR + Camera + Skyrim + VR Worlds can be had for $359 AUD, which is roughly $300 USD, so you would be paying more.

@GTR12: Where at? I've been checking prices nearly every day. That bundle is $449 here in the U.S. $299 for just the headset($289 sometimes). Link me a site if you don't mind.

Would you recommend Cyber Monday as being better for gaming deals? The UK has pretty decent Black Friday sales across online retailers, but wondering whether to hold off the Friday sales until the Monday. What are people's experiences?

I am holding out hope for a SNES classic. However if I don't get one in a few weeks than I'll just preorder a classiq 2 and get a SNES flash cart. That's about it for me.

Like I said, those are AUD prices, I can link you if you want, but it would be an Australian website with Australian prices, I just converted them to USD.

You cant buy the headset by itself anymore here, its either that bundle, or the GT: Sport bundle or some other bundle.

@joshrmeyer: Yeah, don't ask me why, its mostly been that way for tech and games for the last few years.

Other categories like food/clothing/property etc are cheaper there.

Anyone know which places usually try to trick you with these sales? Last year it was quite obvious here that the prices had been raised before Black Friday to give impression of excellent sales on that day.

Look for small stores and with not much revenue the last few months,, they thrive on these sales and look to offload excess stock.

We dont've BLACK FRIDAY in India.

That's almost what I am thinking too. Even big stores which earns loads of money do it here. Luckily we have places that keep price history so it is easy to check up.

I got me a Iphone 8 with a get one free, so got two for the price of one. Also got me a Hatchimal for my daughter, and a blu-ray movie for only $6.99. Thats was my deals. @davillain- PS4 Pros were only $349 !
