black friday gets more and more lame every year

do we all agree? the deals just get worse and worse every year. i work at target in electronics and our sales are just flat out terrible. did anyone find anything good this year? post it here!

I just found the news reports about all the violence both entertaining and very, very sad.

I would disagree, I made some really good purchases on Black Friday, saved a bunch of money

I don't agree. Walmart had some insane deals. Especially big screen TVs.

speaking of black friday i thought it was pretty funny that there were like 7 violent incidents reported and 6 of them were at walmart.

as far as deals go i slept in that day which was the best deal i could find.

GameStop had some pretty good sales going on. I got Rage on the PC for 25 bucks with my friends employee discount and the 30 dollars off. Also bought three preowned games and got the lowest costing one free. So all in all I left GS with four games for the price of about one.

No. :( They did have BF3 for sale, though. I got like three of my friends to give in and buy it for the PC.

Now that the NDA is lifted I can say that I've been beta testing it since last February. I had to stop playing it a few months ago so I wouldn't burn myself out. The game is going to be awesome.

I got a DVD for five bucks, that's about it. I didn't see anything else I wanted that was marked down much below what Amazon sells it for regularly.

Didn't slow my wife down one bit though.

I couldn't stop playing! I made the mistake off rolling my sith juggy from the start and coldn't stop even though I knew I was ruining it! :lol:

I was trying so hard to avoid playing the Bounty Hunter but I finally gave in. Then I made an Imperial Agent and started to love that class. NOW I have to decide between the two. I refuse to play ANY lightsaber class unless I'm playing with a partner. LS classes used to get decimated in PvP.

Yeah it's hard to choose between classes on this. They all look amazing. :cool:

Luckily it gives you a reason to play all of them. The different stories are exceptional. IA is definitely the best of the bunch, though.

Well I don't know what it used to be like, but I saw some deals people posted on some forums, and all i could think was "This is way people get so freaked out over?"

The deals were nothing special compared to what you can find by simply shopping around.

after Christmas sales are a thousand times better than black friday, for the most part i avoid going

i've got to agree that target's sales were pretty awful. best buy had much better deals for me then target.

The pre-black friday deals were better. Cyber monday was a disappointment this year.

I agree Target's Black Friday offerings were pretty lousy.. However Black Friday offerings on Amazon, and at Wal-Mart and Best Buy were pretty darn good. I bought quite a bit of stuff from new release video games for $28. All the way up to a new TV for about $500 off the current price for the same TV.

I will point out that I bought probably 70% of the stuff online this year though. Best Buy and Wal-Mart having their Black Friday stuff online on Thursday helped me avoid a lot of the crowds this year. I'm going to shoot for buying 100% online next year.

seeing as i live in canada i usually only pay attention to the war-like atmosphere that black friday brings about in shopping centers, and from what ive seen in that regard, black fridays get more and more ridiculous every year :P

I can't understand Black Friday. There are doorbusters and then there are mediocre deals little to no better than what can be found online at any time. Doorbusters require one to stand around for hours in the cold to save maybe $100. Even at a low income level it isn't really worth one's time.

It seems like people just go because it's what everyone else does, which is sad in more ways than one.
