Go to blackfriday.info a few days beforehand and compare all the deals there.

Friday! More specifically, the day after Thanksgiving when most folks in the US are off work for a long weekend. Traditionally the kick off for holiday sales and often the single biggest sales day for retailers here.

Hmmmmm....I guess camping out at electronic stores is the way to go if'n that's the type of goods you're looking for. They often have a lot of good solid sales and it's not a bad idea considering that a lot of online stores tend to crash and lot during this time. Personally I don't do anything for what is actually at best the 7th - 14th busiest shopping day of the year (everywhere the last week or two are actually the busiest days) as I don't tend to shop for big ticket popular items anymore as my friends tend to have odd tastes.

I do that too. Gave up on getting up in the middle of the night only to freeze until a store opens while waiting in line.

Or you can mission it down to the US and buy some things because our dollar is essentially at parity.

I've never had the urge to wake up early and stay in line in front of a store.

Besides, I am not in the market for anything this year.

I went to black Friday at walmart last year. I picked up a PS3 bundled with Infamous, Arkham Asylum, and The Dark Knight on bluray, all for the normal price of a PS3. The crowd wasn't bad either.

I might go again this year too, I'll see if any games I'm interested in are on sale.

Walmart actually had the store open all night for last year's Black Friday because of this incident. It worked out pretty well from what I remember. The only problem was that you'd have to wait in much longer lines because everyone already knew what they wanted and would be ready to check out immediately after the Store officially opened.

I used to do this but don't anymore. I did go to Wal-mart last year but that was just to grab a few of the 2-3 dollar dvds they had on sale. I just don't care enough about material possessions to want to deal with all that nonsense

Not unless the 3DS is coming out on Black Friday. And even then, I'd just reserve one from Gamestop, so camping out wouldn't be necessary.

Both I think. It's pretty much like a lightning deal in most categories. They usually tell you before hand, I believe. They have some other random sales there as well.

Actually, I don't think it's EVERY hour, but pretty darn close. :P

well I have yet to see deals from Best Buy, but Walmart lets you stand inside. Depending on the deals (Walmart has some good ones) I'd say pick inside standing than 12 hours of outside standing.
