Im going on a 4 hour flight to Calgary, and im bringing my PS3, this is the second time id be doing this. The first time I used the material which came in the PS3 box to cover it, but this time I dont have it. I was thinking of rapping it in a towel. It will be in my handbag thing I bring on the plane with me. Any suggestions?

Put it in the middle of your suitcase and surround it with all your clothes. Or you could just put it in your carry-on bag.

Put it in a box with those bubble plastic wraps. Make sure to add some newspapers too just in case ;)

If you happen to have the box and the stuff that came with the box, just put it in there, I've seen people carry on boxed game systems before. Plus the packaging it came in was pretty much made for transportation, you know, to electronic shops. A towel might not be protective enough.

EDIT: Just kidding. Styrafoam peanuts and a box I guess and bubble wrap.

You're taking your PS3 as a carry on :| That seems just a tad bit inconvenient. If you absolutely need to have it, just put it in your checked luggage surrounded by clothes.

Negative, the x-rays can see through a towel. What you need to do is put it in your carry-on surrounded by anything you can find that's metal, wires, steel plates, cylindrical pipes, and if they ask you what's in your bag just start screaming ALOHA AKBAR!!! and they'll let you right through ;)

Its no inconvenience, my bag with it in it slides perfectly under the seat, ive done it before. And noway would I ever put it in my luggage, have you seen the way they throw that stuff?

I would leave it home. But, if you can't live without it, swing by Best Buy and pick up one of those travel bags.

Yeah, good luck. Due to the Flight Code safety act, section 417, "All gaming consels must weigh under 8lbs, due to someone inducing the RRoD on a flight, creating a potential fire hazaard/nucular warhead.

Well, if the Airport security guy is a teenager or young adult or laid-back looking individual, I reccomend wrapping the PS3 in snakes and trying to pass it off as carry-on. Then, when they see it, they'll be like,"Woah, man! You're trying to bring SNAKES ON A PLANE! Sweet!" and then they'll let you through, and give you an economy seat.

Lol, RRoD doesnt lead to a fire, and that only happens if it is on.

and gaming systems are not nuclear...
