Forgot to mention Dan Auerbach's solo album Keep it hid. I dont see why he didn't just call it the new black key's CD since it barely sounds any different. Still though its a good album worth picking up.

Skyzoo's The Salvation is dope. I hope Wale's debut, Attention Defecit goes well too. I also enjoyed Charles Hamilton's Pink Lavalamp

In terms of debuts, this year was not impressive at all. I can't think of a single debut actually that made me go "That was pretty good." All have been mediocre at best.

Debut albums? I can't say anything comes to mind. Then again, I haven't been paying much attention.

Also if anyone likes damien rice they should check out Lisa Hannigan's first solo album Sea Sew. She was the singer who did a lot of the other vocal parts with damien rice. Her voice is beautiful, shame she wont sing with damien rice anymore:(

I may disagree with their reviews sometimes but they still list some fantastic bands.

I'll go with The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, but I can't say it exactly "wowed" me. It's been a so-so year for new artists. We've had our share of awesome follow-ups though, so it's okay :)

I'm pretty sure Long Distance calling had a full length out before("Satellite Bay", I believe), but it was a really limited release. A demo-ish album, but at the same time, OK Calculator is considered TV on the Radio's debut, right? Anywho, it's a great album either way. :)
