Best albums of 2008?

Let us reflect on 2008, that was a very good year for music. Though I look forward to what 2009 offers, I think we should share out favorite albums from 2008. These are my favorites:D

1. Julian Cope- Black Sheep

2. Steven Wilson- Insurgentes

3. Marillion- Happiness is the Road

4. Super Furry Animals- Hey Venus

5. Frost- Experiments in mass appeal

6. Karmakanic- Who's the boss in the factory

7. Pendragon- Pure

8. The Tangent- Not as good as the book

9. No-Man- Schoolyard Ghosts

10. Van der graaf generator- Trisector

11. Kula Shaker- Strangefolk

Those are my favorites:D

Somewhere in that list I would like to add REM- Accelerate.

Any other albums I enjoyed would not be considered worthy of Gamespot quality control.

Dir en Grey - Uroboros stands out the most to me. I didn't really like it at first but it has grown on me and it is probably the best album they've released since before Withering to Death
Versailles - Noble
9MM Parabellum Bullet - VAMPIRE
The Underneath - Moonflower, it wasn't the best album and the vocals are pretty standard vk/jrock but the instrumentals are really something to love. Not to mention they released this CD in the US first coming off of the ToC tour.

I have a big 50 album list for 08 but im to lazy to post it, not only that but 08 was a lame year in music, better than 07 at least.

Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth.

It's one of the best albums I own. There's one of the guitarists from Children of Bodom doing a solo on the title track, and LG Petrov from Entombed is featured on Guardians of Asgaard. The one complaint I have on the album is that the machine-gun style double bass patterns are too frequent. It's too much of a crutch.

They released an 08 album? I thought there was a new one but isn't that 09? I don't listen to radio on campus so I wouldn't really know what 's going on in mainstream radio at the moment.

Black Mountain's album in 2008 was In The Future right? I thought that was much better than their last album, I look forward to their next album.

I think it's much better than Vol. 3, but not as good as Iowa. I only like 5 of the tracks on Vol. 3 real well, there's a few others too but only 5 that I really like. I like nearly every song on "All Hope is Gone". Hollywood Undead's "Swan Songs" is really good to. Lately Hollywood Undead and Everytime I Die are the main artists I've been listening to. "Conquer" by Soulfly is pretty good, their best one since "Primitive". Didn't Static-X come out with a new album last year? If they did I haven't heard it yet. This year I'm waiting for "Grey Britain" by Gallows.

I think it's much better than Vol. 3, but not as good as Iowa. I only like 5 of the tracks on Vol. 3 real well, there's a few others too but only 5 that I really like. I like nearly every song on "All Hope is Gone". Hollywood Undead's "Swan Songs" is really good to. Lately Hollywood Undead and Everytime I Die are the main artists I've been listening to. "Conquer" by Soulfly is pretty good, their best one since "Primitive". Didn't Static-X come out with a new album last year? If they did I haven't heard it yet. This year I'm waiting for "Grey Britain" by Gallows.
