I don't remember. It was when Atari was still competing with the NES because I begged my parents for either one I didn't care. I got a system called action max off clearance rack that used light guns and VHS tapes lol. Later my parents bought me a 16mhz 286 PC.
My dad had a sega genesis, but I didn't play that until my friend got me in to video games with Super Smash Bros. when I was 5.
Oh my uncle had a system with plastic overlays you put on screen. It enhanced the dot in the screen I guess.
i think i was 3 or 4. I know i had a gameboy with Tetris and played the crap out of it. Even though i sucked ballz.
As a kid in the late 70's, I got into arcades starting with Space Invaders....and pinball. I love pinball.
I was probably in 2nd or 3rd grade when I got a 2600, which would have been 1985ish. I remember that I wanted an NES, but asked for the Atari because I couldn't remember which was which from the commercials and was disappointed come Christmas that I asked for the wrong one.
Is it bad that I thought VG stood for Vanguard?
If you mean Vanguard, the Mutual Fund company, then no, that isn't a bad thing. It means you have your priorities straight.

I meant the card game. :P
I think I was around eight years old. My mom got me a Nintendo 64 and Super Smash Bros. for Christmas. :3
As far back as I can remember. I used to have a PC in the basement where I'd play old cereal box and Tonka games. I must have been around 3-4 when I started. A friend gave me his old PS1 when I was 5, and I got my first console, an original Xbox, when I was 7.
