When the H1N1 vaccine is available in your area, are you going to get the shot? I'm currently undecided, but I still have time to think about it. If the vaccine will greatly reduce my chances of getting it, maybe it's worth it. I'm kind of worried about side effects though.

What do you say?

If my university gives it away for free, then yea sure. Else, I don't really care.

No. I am 22 years old, healthy and am not prone to sickness (haven't had a cold or flu in years). I am not going to waste something that would be better suited for the more susceptible (elderly, sick, or young).

I'm going to be in a college dorm... so I definitely think getting the vaccine is a good idea.

Same here. I heard they were giving it away free at the student health center near by. If it's not then I won't bother.

Not sure. If the university is giving them to all students, then yes I will get one. Also, if my parents force me to. I seriously don't want to be sick and I want them to make it mandatory for people with symptoms to wear masks. Its sad that it isnt the norm over here to do so.

Well, you are young :P But I did hear on my local news that it's recommended that you get vaccinated if you're aged 24 years or younger, or 65+.

No. I don't get things like the swine flu. My immune system is missile-proof against things like the swine flu. It's the common cold that puts me in bed for a week.

I got the swine flu already, so I won't be getting the shot. I'm not a needle person anyway. I'd probably rather get the flu again than have someone I don't know jabbing a needle in my arm. Only the second day of it was bad, hard to concentrate on Team Fortress 2 when your throat hurts all the time. xD

If you got sick with it, then there would't be any point to get a vaccination....

Eh, the vaccine would just make me sick anyway. Last time I got a flu shot I was bedridden for two weeks. Doctor said that shouldn't have happened. >_>

Eh. Dunno. If Swine Flu starts to really become threatening, perhaps. But at this point, it doesn't seem entirely necessary.

I'm not sure. In theory, it seems like a good idea, but I'm worried about side effects. Every time I get the regular flu shot I get the flu in a matter of days.

This thing I hate. JFK Assassination, Area 51, 9/11, moon landing - those conspiracy theories are one thing. But the anti-vax propaganda is truly sickening. Why? Because those conspiracy theories are actually dangerous.

Given that I'm pretty sure I already had it anyway, no. Having the actual flu is pretty much the ultimate vaccination. :P

Well, how can we be sure that is completely true? Other medical doctors have said the opposite, that the flu has been studied for years and they know the DNA.

I am not sure, there were 2 people (out of :12) on my floor who had it, 8 people (out of 200) in my dorm who have it, and about 100 probible on my campus who have it right now it might be a good idea, but I am not sure.

Apparently, the "elite" engineered the flu so that they could wipe out most of the population... with a killer vaccine. I know, it doesn't make any sense to me, either.

No. Probably not. Getting all of those vaccines are not good for you for starters, and two, well, we have an over population problem...so yeah...

Considering that researches have established that it's not worse then a normal flu and that the medicine will most likely be over priced due to the demand and attention the Media has given it, I'll take my chances.
