Most wouldn't go out of their way to say something like "I'm a fan of MLP, and ponies are awesome sauce!". Though sure, there are exceptions. But I think this said friction only really exists because of what people do and don't consider to be "masculine".

Most people from either side (I'd like to think so), just simply don't care, and leave it at that. But then there are the minority groups (again, from both sides) who have to make a big deal about things.

I seen it around July at a guess. First video I watched on it was PonyCraft 2. Then curiosity hit me, I watched the first episode, and hated it. :o

Gave it another shot a month or two later with some friends and watched past the first episode. I realised then that after episode 2 was over it became a light hearted and enjoyable cartoon. We wnt on a marathon and watched 10 episodes in ont night I believe. Kept going "nah, it's getting beyond a joke that we're watching this now... Ok one more." :lol:

I didn't get a chance to watch it until late last year. But I think the first videos I saw were just several kyrospawn clips on Youtube. And I had seen a lot of pony pictures posted here at the time. So I took a little trip to Wikipedia, and wherever else, learning what I could about it, and before I knew it, I'd watched through the whole first season.

And now here I am....reading fanfics almost daily...
