I dunno, its almost as you are just choosing the "lesser of two evils". I mean say that out loud and ask yourself how right that sounds?!?!ice_radonI know. It's awful >_> Not voting isn't going to solve anything, though.
Its between Obama really and McCain and neither really does anything for me. Obama is just too out there and only cares for the poor underprivileged people. McCain on the other hand, he seems kinda like a big gunner on keeping the war going which I don't know anyone who is in support of it at this point.ice_radon
More Americans are below the poverty line than above it. I think Obama is justified in that respect.
I'm voting for Obama. I was originally going to vote for Edwards before he dropped out but Obama has since won me over.

I'm going to challenge this statement. Could you back it up with a link or something?
[QUOTE="Samwel_X"]If you don't vote you aren't allowed to complain about how the country is being run... deal?MrGeezer
If you vote for Bush, you're not allowed to complain about how Bush is ****ing up. Right?
As long as you still believe he's a better candidate than Kerry or Gore.
I'll vote for McCain, though I do hate politics. It's better to have a war over there then over here. Imagine, for a second, if we pulled the troops out right away, as Obama plans to do... There's a good chance more terrorist attacks could happen. Do you want that?UTXIIYou could say that I'm curious as to what would happen if we just dissolved our involvement precipitously. :P

Probably another 9/11... :( War is a bad thing, but I think it's a good thing because in a way, it keeps me, my friends, and family safe.
War... keeps you safe? I'm sorry, but that baffles me.Probably another 9/11... :( War is a bad thing, but I think it's a good thing because in a way, it keeps me, my friends, and family safe.

I have to vote, I'm a card carrying NDP, plus, I don't want Stephan Harper to get another term, and I DEFINITELY don't want Stephan Dion to get in, bleh...I'm pro-Jack Layton.Andrew_Xavier
Lol yea same here, but I am pro Liberals, but thats when Stephen Dion gets the boot.
Dude, at least vote for an independant candidate. That at least shows that you care, but not about the major parties candidates.Engrish_Major
Agreed. Not bothering to vote at all is intrepreted by the powers that be as you don't care.

My bad, not clear enough... The war over there keeps me safe from a war over here in America where we could all be in danger. I had an argument in class about this, and totally won. Though they are single-minded teenagers... :D
I'm with you there, Jandurin.
Somebody once said "bombing for peace is like f***ing for virginity"!
okaywhatsplanB
LOL. I found that funny.
Your stance is based on two false assumptions. 1) There MUST be war. 2) There can't be war here while there is war there. Edit: In fact, it weakens us, because the more forces we have deployed, the less we have for defense. My bad, not clear enough... I believe that's how Nixon got into power: many people didn't vote.
I've said this before and I'll say it again
I like Obama the most out of the candidates, but if this is the best both political parties can toss at us, you can count me out
If you don't vote you aren't allowed to complain about how the country is being run... deal?Samwel_X
I surely can and will complain

Remember, most statistics don't count people who are living on the streets.

And Obama doesn't plan on pulling troops out right away. His words were that it would take about 16-18 months, if memory serves me, for all the troops to be out, and that he'd take them out over time. Either re-word or research.
