The only thing ment by british humour was that the british are witty (well not all of them but thats what a stereotype is I suppose) in a rather unique way. It doesn't mean that british humour is all about what lord kensington did on that fine afternoon last sunday :P

British Humour is the finest humour in the world. It is like the Earl Grey of comedy. Better than the Starbucks comedy rubbish from America.

Not all brits talk like that now. In some area's your lucky to anyone that can speak decent english at all. If you like our humour try searching youtube or the BBC iplayer for QI, Have I got News For You, mock the week and never mind the buzzcocks.

I never found Mr Bean funny. I did finally see a few episodess of the Brit The Office....much preferred it to the American version which I don't particularly like. Steve Carell FTL.

It isn't a joke. He simply listed a series of victorian-british stereotypes and then asked if we like british humor. :|

It depends on which one you see. Originally it was written by the guy who plays Mr Bean, whos name i forget, but it was quickly bought out as a show and put on in the afternoon as family entertainment, meaning everything had to be dumbed down and all the original stuff which would make you cringe was considered too inappropriate for the time slot.

Mr.Bean is good in small doses... I would say the place to look for great British humour is in the original Office, Extras, Peep Show and slightly older 90s shows like Brass Eye or The Adam And Joe Show. Although some of the episodes of Brass Eye were a little too crude in places... Another great British comedy animation was Monkey Dust,

The problem with British comedies at the moment is that there is a slew of these sketch shows that repeat the same sketch every week in a slightly different situation, most of the time the sketches are childish and just aren't funny. It is a rather sorry state of affairs at present.

clyde46

Subjective. It was one of the most successful comedy series of all time. And without it there would be no American office. So even if you didn't like it's particular style of humor, i'd at least acknowledge that it was a good show, rather than dismissing it as crap.

I thought behind all the disturbing nature of the programme it was genuinely hilarious. I'll admit though, not the lightest viewing of all time.
