Mine has gotten bad over time. Especially in the morning where it's more of a static/hissing sound coming from both ears. (Or so I'd assume.)

Throughout the day there's a constant high-pitched ring. It's especially bad when I'm around electronics such as a computer or a T.V. It's extremely faint yet it seems to overwhelm everything else.

I've had it due to a number of factors but noticed it had gotten worse after using a compressed air unit.

Yeah I have it due to being stupid and using firearms for many years without ear protection. I can't stand silence anymore, I always have to have at least a fan going in the room if I'm not playing music or running the TV in the background.

Sometimes it's worse than other times, but it's always present.

Yeah I get it from time to time. It starts off with a very loud (to me) sound, as if someone fired a gun near me. Then it buzzes for several minutes after. It's more prevalent in times of stress for me. It's usually due to hair cell damage in the inner ear. NSAIDs and antidepressants can make it worse.

Same here. Lots of untreated ear infections as a kid. Apparently my inner ear is all scarred. Got worse after I got a pierced eardrum while diving. It's at its worst at night when I'm trying to go to sleep and gets louder and higher-pitched when I'm stressed or have a cold. If I hear anything anywhere near the frequency of my own tinnitus (like a tuning fork or one of those meditating bowls) it triggers and stays active for a few hours. Also if I'm watching tv and they use that "ear ringing" sound effect (like after an on-screen explosion).

Have a problem with it in my right ear on occasion unfortunately.
Not sure if it is do using headphones all the time or because of others playing their radios too loud in the car.

I've experienced it, but I've never had it for prolonged periods of time. My mom has it, though, and had to use one of those specially programmed MP3 players for a couple years to help improve it.

Thankfully, no, especially in light of the chronic ear infections I got as a kid. It sounds absolutely terrible, like one of the worst non-painful/harmful afflictions you can get.

I do, but I haven't seen a doctor about it. So I guess it's not that bad. I got a feeling like I hear that high pitched sound coming from monitor, TV, or computer. I understand they can't cause tinnitus, but maybe they irritate me so it gets worse. My speakers with metal tweeters definitely don't help either.

Yes.

I've listened to a lot of loud music, not worn hearing protection around loud equipment (>85dB) and drive a diesel truck with only moderately muffled exhaust.

Asked this a couple of month back hehe. Any way yeah and I still have it. Mainly on a night but get it in the day too. Had hearing test and everything fine apart from cant hear high end frequency noises in my right ear. Cant really explain but sometimes I get a what sounds like a change of high frequency noise. It sounds like a sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee then all of a sudden it will get louder and louder then go.
