It's almost impossible to guess how good a room would look just looking at the tiny squares of paper you can pick up at the hardware store. It's killing my what color to paint a few rooms. Anyone know of any sites where you can photoshop a picture to see how the colors would look? Anything like that? Because now I'm just stuck in an impossible decision and after 2 months I still can't decide...

This happens a lot. my mum is interior designer, what you need to do. Is first, decide what kind of paint you want. There's gloss, semi-glosss, etc etc. Then check out the furniture style and color, and now you choose a color that makes contrast with them. Other things you can think about are artificial and natural lights. (lamps and windows). Hope it helps.

You should paint it white and then get black curtains, like the song.

Well it's a room that doesn't face the sun first of all, so it's a little dimmer than the other side of the house. The room (my room) also has dark blue carpet and it's on the second storey of the house, umm....it's a slightly larger than average size for a room, there's a computer area and bookshelf on one side, bed and dresser on the other....If that helps.

Get a couple quarts of paint, each one a different color you think might look good by doing a wall or half. I've painted so many types of houses so many different colors and i can only think of once where i absolutely hated the color(minty green). Just try not to go too wild with your choice and it'll be fine.

I could draw up a 3D model in CAD and then make some photorenders with sunlight and shadows with various colors...

But, I don't want to.
